**Direct hire opportunity in Wichita, Kansas for a Quality Manager**

Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000k

**Aviation/Aerospace experience is a MUST.**


Lead, direct and work with the inspectors to oversee the induction, teardown, assembly, test and return to service of the articles processed. The MRO Quality Assurance Chief Inspector represents the company for all FAA, customer and government surveys, audits, and overall MRO RSQCM quality performance. This includes but is not limited to inspection of products repaired and overhauled for private sector use to ensure compliance with all contract specifications.


**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Manage Inspection Program.

+ Manage Calibration Program.

+ Facilitate Nonconforming Product Management program.

+ Manage NDT Program

+ Manage Process Control Testing Program

+ Facilitate internal/external quality audits.

+ Represent Quality Department in intercompany meetings.

+ Oversight of Quarantine Management and Scrap Management Programs.

+ Assist Director of Quality in all functions, as required.

+ Facilitate Training.

+ Perform duties of Tech Librarian, in his/her absence.

+ Complete customer/supplier surveys, as required.

+ Perform all duties of all inspection roles.

+ Submits reports to the Operations Managers and Director of Quality on failures, malfunctions, or defects.

+ Reports any identified risks associated with the repair station to the Operations Manager and Director of Quality.

+ Communicates as needed with internal & external customers and the FAA as required.

+ Serve as backup for Director of Quality.

+ Uses equipment and materials properly.

+ Reports potentially unsafe conditions.

+ Other duties as assigned.


**EDUCATION:**


+ Minimum of high school degree or equivalent.

+ Associates or bachelors degree is preferred.

+ Current Repairmens certificate or have held Repairman certificate in past. Airframe & Powerplant certificate preferred.


**EXPERIENCE:**


+ Aviation background and at least 5 years of experience at an airline or MRO and at least 3 years of inspection experience and will have held at least a repairmans certificate.


**QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ Must have a thorough understanding of the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, as well as inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used to determine the quality or airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance, repair, or alterations.

+ Experience with managing the Repair Station Manual & Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM).

+ System knowledge such as Microsoft office and Quantum preferred but not mandatory

+ Proven track record of consistent performance while delivering high levels of customer service to internal and external customers is required.

+ Strong leadership traits with a focus on good communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Demonstrated record of integrity and sound ethical judgment.

+ Must demonstrate commitment to quality and safety in all maintenance.

+ Must read, write, and speak English fluently.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to professionally communicate with customers.

+ Strong business acumen, ability to understand needs of users and address conflicts, competing priorities as necessary.

+ Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, well-developed problem-solving skills, solid organizational skill; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of the organization.

+ Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines.

+ Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, vendors, and customers.

+ Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.

+ Looks for ways to continuously improve and promote quality.

+ Makes decisions in a timely manner, includes appropriate people in decision-making process, exhibit sound and accurate judgment.

+ May require after hours, including weekends, availability to cover AOGs and customer schedules.

+ Strong troubleshooting knowledge down to component level using measuring gauges and test equipment.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as Parts Manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
