**Job Description:** Quality Tech

The scope of this position is to ensure the quality department maintains quality systems in compliance with ISO

9001- 2015 while supporting the QA team as well as quality supervisor in ensuring the integrity and dissemination

of data as required by management. The quality Lab will also be fluent with the use of all quality measuring

tools/instrument as well as training of QA inspectors in the use of in-line and some off-line measuring devices. In

addition, this position will be responsible for the maintenance of product standards via our internal Request for

Change (RFC) process to include new product set-up as well as any changes to existing product standards.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF FUNCTION

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

- ISO Documentation Control.

Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made

Analyze data for trends and develop action plans the eliminate recurring quality defects/issues

Respond in a timely manner to customer complaints Utilizing root cause analysis tools.

Conduct audits of internal and external processes to ensure compliance with set standards

Assist in vendor audits to ensure raw materials/components are adequately sourced

Develop quality assurance plans by conducting analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive

measures; establishing critical limits; monitoring corrective actions and verification procedures

Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends

including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations

Responsible for updating product specification.

- Assist Procurement Department as needed.

- Outside Contract Production Work.

Coordinate movement on BAAN (MRP System) Raw Materials and Finish Goods between 3rd party Secondary

Operations to ensure proper documentation.

Monitoring and training of contract vendor ensuring equipment, materials and procedures are available at

required time intervals.

Ensuring pricing, stock levels and frequency of jobs are meet.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Advanced Excel and Word.

Proven experience as a successful supervisor or relevant role

Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards

Strong knowledge of calibration and ability to read blue prints

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Thorough understanding of data analysis/statistical methods

Understanding and use of lean methodologies and tools

Technical Writing

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE


Associate degree preferred and 3-5 years experience in Quality
