Our client, a leading manufacturer of tailored inline process spectrometers, is currently hiring a Lead Quality Systems Manager, reporting to the Head of Production Services, to improve business life cycle Quality Control processes.


Overview:

This role aligns with a Systems Engineering role, whos product is Quality Control/ Quality Management Systems (QMS). An Electrical Engineers expertise is needed to be successful.


The Quality Systems Manager will lead a variety of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical and other diagnostic tests on equipment, sub-assemblies, and other parts to ensure units function according to specifications or to define the cause of failure using electronic tools and other instruments.


Client needs an Electrical Engineer for this position that will advise Quality and Control. The right person for this role will be an Engineer with a strong electrical background, that will apply electrical / electronic system troubleshooting skills to quality control enhancements. The ideal candidate for this role would be an Electrical Engineer or Systems Engineer specializing in troubleshooting electronics, passionate about learning Manufacturing and Quality System Improvements.


Client will train the right creative and curious Electrical Engineer, that is passionate about solving problems, on their Quality / Quality Management systems.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Systems Management:

Develop and oversee all aspects of a complex system to solve a problem, from the initial creation of the system to production and management through the end product or solution.

Analyze organizational systems to find more efficient ways of doing things.

Analyzing system challenges and identify the best solution to meet project needs.

Develop, revise, document, validate, and improve the functional test processes for existing electro-mechanical assemblies and complex capital equipment.

Lead systems/assemblies/components functional test, troubleshooting/debugging, cable test, crimp inspections and other inspections/tests in manufacturing and engineering area.

Provide support to New Product Introduction projects, Continuous Improvement Projects and other projects assigned.

Work cooperatively with internal departments, contract manufacturers and external suppliers to develop and deliver solutions.

Assist organization to formulate quality standards and regulations for employees and for the product manufactured at our premises.

Analyze the data gathered and plan accordingly to improve product quality (accountable for identifying the mistakes and inspecting the procedures. Should have solid experience in quality control processes and their standards (An ideal candidate for this position should be competent to continue business life cycle and to attain long term success in business).

Responsible for the entire Returns Process as part of the Quality Control, and creating effective product returns strategies and programs can result in increased revenues, lower costs, improved profitability, and enhanced levels of customer service.

Analyze the data thoroughly to find the areas of growth.

Develop strategies to improve the production process.

Eyeing on the objectives to maximize the profitability of the organization.

Providing training to individuals who handle the product.

Make sure whether the product goes through auditing and testing.

Make sure whether all the legal standards are met and review thoroughly the existing policies and standards.

Review the organizations process to ensure whether they align with the current policies.

Formulate timely reports and documentation to track progress.

Identify the training requirements to meet the quality standards, train the team.

Develop and monitor corrective measures.

Make documentation of internal audits and quality assurance activities.

Prepare and successfully run the yearly external ISO 9001:2015 audit process.

Plan, conduct, and monitor the test, and inspecting the products to ensure its quality.

Look at customer complaints.

Analyze the data to find the areas for improvement.

Manage relevant KPIs.


Returns & Service:

RMA handling- Manage and Improve returns and exchange processes.

Runs the initial troubleshooting and diagnostics for root causes of returns and exchanges (make recommendations on improvements).

Generation of 4D/8D reports, RMA/ Non-conformance reports, build and recommend new Quality Systems to improve.


Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree required. Electrical Engineering degree strongly-preferred, the right candidate strong in electrical engineering and/ or electronics with other science degree (Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Technology, etc.) may be considered.

Masters Degree in an Electrical/ Electronics specialty strongly-preferred.

Knowledge of using test application softwares, Microsoft office utilities, power supplies, light sources, test equipments including multimeters, oscilloscope, function generators, etc.

Knowledge of handling & troubleshooting optics, electronics, and mechanical parts.

Ability to read and follow test instructions of spectrometry products.

Ability to use hand tools for assembly and soldering irons.

Sufficient PC knowledge, hardware, and software (WORD, EXCEL), ERP system etc.

Knowledge of analog design, e.g., SMPS (topologies Buck, Boost, Flyback, LLC/Resonant Converters), and EMI/EMC.

Experience with measuring conducted and radiated EMI; digital design, and knowledge on MCU, CPU.

Assembler and higher languages such as C/C++/C#, knowledge on what a register is; and how to build a counter.

Knowledge of what an FPGA is, what HPLs such as VHDL and Verilog are; the difference between active and passive components; basic OPAMP circuits (differentiator amplifier, integrator, subtractor, inverter, etc.).

Understanding of high-pass and low-pass; Kirchhoffs Voltage and Current Law.

Proficiency of ADCs; UART, I2C and SPI's.

General knowledge of electronic components; how a transistor works, Flip-Flop Circuits etc.

Experience with measurements using an o-scope and multimeter.

Having relevant experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing is an added advantage.

Ample experience in implementing corrective/preventive measures.

Strong problem-solving skills.


Strong pluses:

Understanding of product operation and troubleshooting methods to figure out root cause of issues is required (4D/8D reports will be generated and provided to customers as needed.

Quality assurance knowledge of tools and methodologies.

Certification programs in Six Sigma, Quality Improvement associate, Quality auditing and/ or Quality Engineering preferred.


The right Electrical Engineer will be trained on all Q/A.
