**Raw Materials Laboratory Technician / Jacksonville, FL**

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Raw Materials Laboratory Technician for one of our top clients in Jacksonville, FL

As a Raw Materials Laboratory Technician placed with Kelly Services you will be responsible for Raw Materials Management and Inspection and Corrective action taking within the R&D Laboratories.

**Key Job Responsibilities:**

+ Responsible for weekly safety inspections of all Vision R&D Laboratories, any "Out of Compliance" issues will be investigated, documented and proper Vision personnel will be notified, tracking any corrective actions

+ Responsible for all monthly office area inspections of space occupied by R&D

+ Interact with Vision personnel during audits and inspections of Raw Materials

+ Inspection of incoming raw materials upon receipt to ensure material is usable by identifying any external factor that could result in the material not being usable, proper notification to carrier/shipper for credit or replacement materials

+ Use JJV approved labels and label raw materials for HAZCOM and Vision specific information, by obtaining Certificate of Analysis, MSDS specifications and data including with the all received materials

+ Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials in designated areas, maintaining physical inventory in a designated system, and create and distribute via e-mail a raw materials expiration as needed

+ Monitor equipment and record temperatures from chart recorders for refrigerators and freezers that are used as storage for raw materials and chemicals

+ Create and manage a universal ordering system for all chemical raw materials for use in the Vision R&D building, maintain a tracking system from initial ordering to receipt

+ Responsible for sampling raw materials, logging into Labware LIMS system and submitting for required testing to Analytical laboratory

+ Responsible for ID, appearance, viscosity and water content by Karl Fisher testing through approved test methods, as related only to raw material release

**Job Requirements:**

+ Education: Bachelors degree required. Preferably, science background or similar industry preferred.

+ Understanding of laboratory processes.

+ Attention to detail required. Basic mathematic skills required.

+ Good communication and organizational skills required.

+ Must be familiar with computers and Microsoft software. Fluent in Microsoft Excel.

+ Motivated and able to learn new program systems.
