Job Title: Receptionist (medical office)

Location: (northeast) Tallahassee, FL

Summary: Receives patients with medical appointments, answers phone, schedules physician appointments, collects payments, enrolls member into and monitors the Patient Portal, and performs clerical and administrative support services.

Pay: _*_ $12-13/h

_*starting pay rate will be revisited for strong performance in role_

Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 8a-5p (60min daily break)

Hire type: _*_ Temp-to-hire

_*position may be opportunity for direct/long-term employment, depending on employee performance during trial period, and internal company factors_

_*If hired directly after successful trial period thru Kelly Services a possible pay increase will be discussed, and employment benefits will become available (including: health insurance-100% employer funded even for family. SEP Simplified Employee Pension; 6 months to become vested but then retroactively applied to hire date. Also 100% employer funded and currently contributing 12% of paid wages)._

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, as part of the patient centered care team. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. -Greets patients and checks members in for medical appointments. Uses computer systems for accessing and entering patient information.

-Checks patients out following visits according to departmental policies and procedures, and records, prints all necessary documents for the encounter, and arranges physician follow up care.

-Answers phones, records patient appointment dates, and times using computer scheduling program. Maintains multiple physician schedules. Performs reminder callbacks.

-Collects and records payment for services.

-Sends and distributes faxes, makes copies, files documents, and performs other clerical tasks required.

-Maintains a working knowledge of the operation of the company switchboard and telecommunications system.

-Performs duties in a manner that supports achievement of quality objectives associated with patient quality standards; including but not limited to, Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), NCQA HEDIS, CMS Star initiatives, as they relate to corporate strategic goals and The Triple Aim.

Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Ability to learn computer software programs for scheduling appointments and accessing information. Skilled in use of office equipment, such as copiers and fax machines. Ability to speak English clearly and fluently. Able to multi-task while dealing with people in a pleasant manner.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
