We are now seeking a Member Services Specialist (Relationship/Personal Banker) to work at a local Credit Union.

Location: Milan, MI

Training is in Jackson, MI (you have the option to commute or have expenses paid to stay in Jackson during training)

Pay is based on experience: $16-$21/hour

**Once hired, incentives with this position make anywhere from $200 - $1,000 extra per month**

**This is also a DIRECT HIRE (no contract period)**

Benefits offered after 90 days

Banking experience is not required, but if no banking, must have high volume cash handling (retail or hospitality)

Schedule is flexible. (banking hours: Mon-Thurs 8a-7p, Fri 7a-7p, Sat 8a-4p)

Position Overview: The Member Services Specialist I is responsible for promoting a positive image of the Credit Union and is responsible for opening and servicing all types of new accounts in a timely and professional manner. This position requires the ability to engage with the member and proactively identify ways to maximize their credit union experience and cross-sell the credit union products and services in accordance with the credit unions policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

+ Follow all credit union policies and procedures; including policies and procedures for customer identification and all BSA requirements

+ Promotes services consistent with the credit union sales culture

+ Open deposit and loan accounts and service existing accounts

+ Process personal lines of credit for overdraft protection and/or Visa applications.

+ Cross-sell and advise our members of the products that would best suits their needs.

+ Providing our members with excellent service in person and by phone, general and specific account and loan Information, other related Credit Union services and products.

+ Follow all credit union policies and procedures for customer identification and all BSA requirements.

+ Respond to members' requests, problems and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.

+ Assist teller line when needed, including processing members' deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers initiated by phone or in person, and other miscellaneous member transactions efficiently and accurately.

+ Meets Sales Goals for Auxiliary products (Life, GAP, Disability, Mechanical Breakdown Protection, Courtesy Pay etc.)

+ Completes appropriate documentation for all accounts (loan files, tracking records etc.)

+ A minimum education of high school diploma or GED.

+ Bachelors degree preferred

+ Minimum 6 months previous Credit Union/banking experience required

**Position Model Standards**

+ $5000 check over ride Authority

+ Assist on the teller line as needed

+ Ability to balance branch Vault

+ Has excellent customer service skills

+ Previous lending experience

+ Proven Sales Skills

+ The ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with credit union exposure to loss or fraud.

+ In-depth knowledge of all credit union deposit products and policies

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

+ Ability to work well under pressure

+ Strong communication skills

+ Ability to remain calm while dealing with difficult members

+ Knowledge of BSA, Regulation CC, D, E and all other pertinent regulations

+ Organizational skills
