Kelly Services, Professional and Industrial is currently recruiting for our Fortune 500 customer based out of Mechanicsville, VA for a remote Corporate Recruiter.
They are looking for someone that is a self-starter, acts with a sense of urgency, confident with their knowledge to get the job done, full-cycle recruiting, communicating with managers and customer, experience with LinkedIn recruiting, Work Day a plus, comfortable with on the job training, and able to work off Eastern Standard Time.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (EST)
Pay: $25-$30/hr depending on experience
Location: Remote
Duration: 3-month position that could be extended for additional months if the candidate is exceptional.
POSITION SUMMARY
Recruits all positions (below director level) to include screening and interviewing candidates using the most effective recruitment methodologies, techniques, and processes. Works with hiring managers to identify hiring needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with managers to identify hiring needs and develop/implement timely and cost-effective staffing strategies.
Identifies and pursues potential recruiting resources.
Ensures teammate requisitions reflect all appropriate signatures prior to posting; posts open positions both company-wide and as needed on selected job boards and websites.
Ensures Civic organizations receive notification of open positions and response is tracked/maintained on a spreadsheet.
Utilizes all available sources to recruit positions (below director level) in a cost-effective manner.
Collects, reviews, and screens resumes to match candidate skills and abilities with current job vacancies.
Interacts with Compensation on hiring recommendations by providing appropriate documentation (application, resume, salary recommended by hiring manager). Communicates the final hiring offer to the hiring manager, prepares the final offer letter, ensures signed copy is returned and filed.
Maintains acceptable closure rate on all job offers extended.
Assists with orientations, on-boarding, and processing of new hire paperwork including I9 verifications.
Coordinates the pre-employment drug testing and criminal/credit background checks. Works with the Talent Acquisition Manager and Manager, Human Resources to discuss positive responses.
Develops professional relationships with local organizations and colleges; evaluates the need for, organizes, and represents Owens & Minor at college and specialty career fairs for recruiting purposes. Conducts reference checks and ensures all supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
Assists the Talent Acquisition Manager with Applicant Tracking and in the development of Affirmative Action plans.
Contacts staffing agencies to fill positions as the need arises and negotiates contracts with recruitment and advertising agencies on fees and conditions.
Analyzes agency performance and continually seeks those agencies that can provide a qualified pool of candidates at any given time.

Possesses professional demeanor at career/job fairs and other employment-related functions
Flexibility
Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office Products)
Working knowledge of automated recruiting and application tracking systems and methodologies
Working knowledge of labor laws and other employment laws
Knowledge of internet recruiting.
