**Research Analyst (Data Entry) - Phoenix, AZ**



**This is a 6 month position with potential to extend!**



The position participates in the operation of the Records Center by performing a variety of administrative tasks for the Records Center manager including research, special projects, preserve and maintain agency records, including offsite records management; indexes, and retrieves records; enter data; compiles and compose data reports; reviews and evaluates retention schedules; responds to questions and concerns.



The position interprets agency or program rules and regulations and responds to related questions from the public; modifies routine procedures to improve program effectiveness; contributes to continuous improvement (LEAN) initiative; prepares a variety of correspondence; participates in development, conversion to and administration of electronic documents management and retrieval systems.



**Duties and Responsibilities:**




+ Knowledge of State records management

+ Methods and techniques of maintaining records in a controlled environment

+ Principles and practices, policies and procedures of records retention

+ Practices and procedures of records management system

+ Experience in library science/records management and/or project management

+ Experience with e-resource management

+ Handle routine operations;

+ Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to groups and individuals

+ Be proficient on the computer with various software

+ Excellent organizational skills and proven attention to detail

+ Excellent technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills

+ Demonstrated ability and success in the development and/or management of a digital library, records center, archive, or repository.

+ Experience contributing to complex technology projects.

+ Ability to follow established policies and procedures.

+ Ability to identify situations when policies and procedures are not being met and take appropriate corrective action.

+ Ability to plan, coordinate, analyze, and establish priorities; develop effective operating procedures.

+ Future-oriented, with the ability to anticipate, adapt, and respond to changing needs and priorities and to create powerful outcomes.

+ Lift 20 pound boxes

+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other staff

+ Schedule department staff and work flow for maximum effectiveness



**Minimum Requirement:**




+ Associates Degree in Office Management, Records Management or closely related field with two (2) years experience in a responsible records management capacity preferably within a government environment or any combined education, training and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
