**Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Direct Hire opportunity in Los Gatos, CA for an** **Research Associate Mammalian Cell Culture** **.**


Kelly Services is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Associate with experience in tissue culture and cell line development to contribute to our efforts in establishing innovative monoclonal antibody production technologies. The successful candidate will work on cell line production and characterization. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Cell line development, including stable and transient transfections, transduction, clone isolation, screening, and fed-batch cultures


Mammalian cell culture, including CHO suspension cultures and other mammalian cells


Cell line characterization, including growth, viability, and protein production


Support genomic characterization of cells using molecular biological techniques, including DNA/RNA isolation and qPCR


Collaborate with group members on production of cell lines for GMP manufacturing


Concise and effective reporting and presentation of data


Participating in lab duties including maintaining common reagents, equipment, lab supplies, and waste.


QUALIFICATIONS


BA/BS or MS in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field plus at least 2 years industry experience


Substantial experience with mammalian cell culture techniques under BSL2 conditions. Handson experience in CHO suspension cultures, single cell cloning, and protein production in mammalian systems is a plus


Experience with cell biological techniques, i.e. cell growth assay, transfection, transduction, microscopic analysis, flow cytometer


Experience with molecular biological techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR is a plus


Excellent recording, organizational and planning skills


Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Team player with ability to work independently


Eligible to work in the US on an unrestricted basis
