**Job Title: Research Associate**





**Pay: $35.71 per hour**





**Job description:**



We are seeking a highly motivated research associate with at least 2 years of industry experience working with monoclonal antibodies, Fc-fusions, and other recombinant proteins and/or database systems related to the life sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for data management and lab operations. These responsibilities include understanding data management workflows and data entry, serving as a liaison with IT for troubleshooting new processes, maintaining reagent inventory management, and lab responsibilities which include ordering, reagent and media prep., and other lab related activities as assigned.


The candidate should be familiar with high throughput systems and lab automation and be able to independently design and execute experiments using automated instruments. Candidate will help other team members with their high throughput experiments, including but not limited to, protein expression, protein purification and protein characterizations.


The candidate should be able to demonstrate a track record of initiative, creativity, independent performance, and be very organized. The candidate will work with individual scientists and may participate on project teams to aid in the discovery, construction, production, and screening of antibody-based biologics. The successful candidate will be highly effective in collaborating and communicating with internal and external team members and CROs.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Biologics database understanding and data management

2. Protein/reagent inventory management

3. Testing and implementation of database workflows or features

4. Buffer, reagent, and media preparation

5. Develop and execute experiments using automation


Skills/Knowledge Required:

Proven track record of biological data/physical inventory management.

Experience in biology laboratory setting and instrumentation.

Experience or knowledge of expression and purification of recombinant therapeutics proteins is a plus.

Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to present scientific data in group setting.

Excellent organization to multi-task and manage multiple projects.


Functional/Scientific/Technical Skills:

Implement and validate protocols.

Mastery of basic lab skills.

Reviewing literature for technical support.

Data analysis.

Familiarity with data retrieval and input from database.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

With assistance, executes experiments, conducts analysis and reports results.

Familiarity with work and business practices to be able to identify and troubleshoot routine problems.


**Qualifications**

Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2 years work experience or Masters degree with at least 1 years work experience.
