Kelly is excited to announce multiple open positions for **Research Technicians** at a reputable biotechnology company specializing in targeted gene therapy! The job is located in **Thousand Oaks, CA** , and pay is **$25/hour** . **_Apply to day for immediate consideration!!_**


We are looking for an ambitious, motivated, and collaborative Research Technician to support exploratory next-generation gene therapy programs for CNS disease as a member of the Preclinical Team. In collaboration with other Team members, the candidate will be responsible for executing cell and/or rodent-based studies utilizing a variety of preclinical and exploratory methods, including AAV drug delivery, AAV cloning, cell-specific expression targeting and de-targeting profiling, necropsy, tissue processing, histological processing, bioanalytical measures, to generate data in support of the selection of development drug candidates and new IND applications. A successful candidate will have a technical background in molecular biology and/or in-vivo mouse studies and/or in-vitro cell-based assays and previous exposure to proper record keeping, assay execution, and a desire to grow and learn at Capsida.


**Essential Qualifications**


Bachelors with relevant scientific experience in cell biology, molecular biology, physiology, or a related scientific discipline


Follow and perform established experimental design protocols to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision


Analyze, record, and provide interpretation of experimental data, and engage Team members in scientific discussions


Effectively follow experimental methods from literature and make modifications as necessary


Communicate experimental and troubleshooting needs to other Team members to support long-term protocol development.


Work closely with other Team members to coordinate research efforts to meet fast-paced timelines


Excellent ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner


Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced research environment


**Preferred Qualifications**


+ One or more years of industry or academic experience conducting nonclinical and IND-enabling studies

+ General understanding of relevant in-vivo and ex-vivo research techniques

+ **_Cryosectioning_**

+ **_Immunohistochemistry/Immunofluorescence_**

+ Necropsy/brain microdissection

+ qPCR/ddPCR

+ ELISA/Western Blot or other molecular expression studies

+ Experience in rodent handling/conducting behavioral experiments

+ Experience with gene therapy especially in the context of cellular or rodent models of CNS diseases
