The primary responsibilities of the Flooring Sales Specialist position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, understand basic installation and flooring products, and support the store management team. Flooring Sales Specialists are in charge of customer-first philosophy and are essential in delivering the best customer experience possible.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and maintain positive professional relationships with customers, installers, and vendors.

Provide exceptional customer service and sales support through several medians such as phone, email, text, internet, mail, and in-person interaction.

Confirm product selections, pricing, product availability, and flooring layouts.

Interact with industry specific software for the function of order entry, estimating, product specifics, scheduling, and communication.

Schedule installation dates with customers, warehouse, and installers to meet deadlines.

Respond to customer needs promptly and accurately.

Provide resolution for customer concerns should they arise. Involve management as needed.

Continue education in new flooring technology and trends.

Collaborate with other members of the sales team and select staff to take on special projects and duties.


QUALIFICATIONS

High School Education, or equivalent.

General math skills.

PC literate in MS Office, Outlook, Internet browser

Previous sales or customer service experience preferred but not required.

Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner.

Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced work environment.

Willingness to work a rotating weekend schedule and retail hours.

Willingness to embrace company culture and values.
