Kelly Science is hiring a 3rd shift **Sanitation Manager** for a Food Manufacturing Company in NE Portland. The **Sanitation Manager** is responsible for supervising and activity coordination of sanitation workers while maintaining HACCP, USDA, FDA, QA and all written Standard Operating Procedures.



**Responsibilities:**




1. Supervise the day-to-day implementation of sanitation protocols and safety measures to achieve AFNA regulatory agency regulations (SSOP, GMP, OSHA, SQF, etc.).

2. Ensures shut-down processes are followed to ensure proper sanitation.

3. Monitors the daily activities of assigned staff, providing instructions and performance feedback to ensure that productivity and quality objectives are met or exceeded.

4. Identifies and resolves process and equipment problems, using available resources to maintain sanitation, productivity and quality levels.

5. Implements approaches to improve quality and productivity by developing new ideas, improving processes, and planning for upcoming equipment or process changes

6. Oversees all sanitation personnel to ensure work is being performed to SSOPs.

7. Ensures all sanitation is done to third party auditor compliance

8. Will work closely with QA/QC to ensure all sanitation policies ensure the plant is, and stays, in a food safe manner

9. Maintains an adequate supply of all the necessary chemicals, supplies and equipment to perform all sanitation tasks, as required.

10. Keeps a Master Sanitation Schedule of items that requires periodic attention.

11. Responsible for buildings and grounds upkeep



**Qualifications**




1. Bachelors degree preferred.

2. 3-5 years previous sanitation experience, preferably in a food grade manufacturing facility. Minimum 1 year experience in sanitation



**General Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**




1. Food processing and techniques

2. Food Safety & Quality Assurance concepts and techniques

3. Sanitation concepts and techniques

4. Chemical properties of sanitizers and cleaners

5. OSHA, SSOP, SDS, HACCP, FSIS, USDA policies and regulations

6. Supervisory concepts and procedures

7. Food processing equipment
