We have an exciting opportunity for a **Sanitation Supervisor** to join one of our top clients in North Salt Lake, CA.



**Summary:**



Sanitation Supervisor responsible for supervising the Process Technician I employees and the cleaning of the facility and equipment.



**Duties and Responsibilities:**




+ Manages the overall Sanitation program for the NSL site.

+ Oversees day to day operations of the Sanitation Team and assists with cleaning tasks, taking on a fair portion of the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning tasks

+ Audits the facility and grounds daily for integrity, cleanliness, orderliness, audit readiness (includes roof, weeds, gutters, birds, doors, seals, lighting, parking lots, paint and spackle, overall appearance of facility and more)

+ Trains staff and others in Good Sanitation Practices in food/dietary supplement environment and monitors compliance

+ Generates and manages the Master Sanitation Schedule

+ Generates and manages the Environmental Monitoring Program, including vector analysis, air, temperature, humidity, and water quality testing and follow up

+ Ensures that Sanitation areas are audit-ready using 5S to keep neat and orderly

+ Generates and manages the Approved Chemical List

+ Ensures proper storage of maintenance and cleaning chemicals and that they are properly labeled and segregated according to food contact/nonfood contact

+ Generates and maintains cleaning validations

+ Works with Pest Control contractor to keep pests out of the facility

+ Generates and manages the smock laundering SOP and works with smock laundering contractor to ensure smocks are handled in accordance with our cGMP specifications

+ Eliminates sources of foreign material that could wind up in the product by maintaining cleanliness of toolboxes, forklifts, pallet wrappers, transition areas between rooms, warehouse racking, floor to ceiling fixtures in areas outside production rooms

+ Manages cleanup when bodily fluids are involved (i.e., vomit, blood, sewage, etc.)

+ Maintain floor scrubber in good working condition

+ Conducts Performance Appraisals

+ Provides guidance, counselling and Recognition to Team Members

+ Properly trains team members in the correct sanitation procedures and provides continuing development

+ Works directly with Production Manager with dotted line to QA Manager to assess sanitation needs

+ Assigns personnel as needed to ensure areas and equipment are cleaned and ready for processing

+ Works with team members as needed to ensure workload is completed in a timely manner

+ Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines

+ Uses equipment and materials properly

+ Maintains work and storage areas in an acceptable and safe manner

+ Follows all environmental, health and safety protocols.

+ Provides support for all safety and environmental initiatives.

+ Proactively attempts to prevent all accidents and eliminate all unsafe conditions.

+ Demonstrates managements commitment to safety.

+ Plays a critical role as part of the Crisis Management Team in the event of fire, flood, or other damage to the facility, grounds, structure, or components



**Minimum Requirements:**




+ Associates Degree or higher (preferred) in a technical field. Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent

+ Similar or related experience desired: 1-3 years of experience in Sanitation supervision with a minimum of 3-5 years in sanitation, preferably in a food or dietary supplement manufacturing environment.

+ Knowledge of various chemicals used in the sanitation process. Ability to read and interpret documents such as SDS, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization. Ability to effectively supervise employees. Ability to calculate figures and amounts for making dilutions of cleaning and sanitation solutions.
