**Kelly is actively recruiting for a Sanitation Supervisor as a Direct Hire in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area, TX.**


SUMMARY:

The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the sanitation program to ensure compliance and proper execution in accordance with sanitation, food safety and safety corporate standards, HACCP principles as well as local and state regulations, in order to maintain a visibly clean, audit ready environment for food production. Recommends and secures the appropriate resources (internal and external) and time (including necessary downtime) to assure a sanitary environment is maintained.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages Sanitation employees work schedule and responsibilities.

Develops and maintains master sanitation schedule. lead verification, monitoring, and validation of the sanitation related programs.

Assures compliance to pest control program.

Develop and report plant food safety and sanitation KPIs.

Develops and conducts periodic audits and/or review results to interpret data trends, monitor emerging issues related to sanitation and develop remediation strategies accordingly.

Operates and leads sanitation team with ownership and professionalism.

Recommends to QC Manager any necessary changes in production methods or programs to maintain or elevate food safety and sanitation.

Operates within specified procedures and policies as required by the company.

Ensures all work areas are safe, clean, and following company GMPs.

Ensures that sanitation staff work in a safe and efficient manner.

Ensure training for new sanitation employees

Coordinates ongoing improvement of production operations with QC Manager.

Practices effective communication skills with all internal and external customers.

Oversight of SOPs within area of responsibility.

Practices continuous improvement in operations.

Adheres to and follows the Companys Core Values.

Works with initiative both independently and in a team environment.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Certified Sanitarian or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.

Knowledge in HACCP, Microbiology, Sanitation, Chemical Safety, Pest Control, and Quality Systems.

Understand and comply with government regulations relating to OHSA, FDA, USDA, and EPA.

Proficient knowledge of production processes, general line maintenance and staffing.

Proficient English language knowledge and skills (oral and written).

Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.

Demonstrated success building effective teams with proven ability to lead by engaging and motivating a team and influencing an organization.

Effective interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with all levels within the organization.

Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft office programs.

Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities.

Ability to handle and resolve most issues independently.

High work capacity, dependable, results oriented and strong sense of urgency.

Demonstrated sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

A minimum of four (4) years of previous sanitation experience in a nutritional/dietary supplement, pharmaceutical or food industry environmental (Required).

Three (3) years of previous manufacturing experience (Required).

Previous supervisory experience (Highly Preferred).

Certified Sanitarian or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Manufacturing work environment. Constant physical activities are required for this position. Able to tolerate working environment with inside hot and cold temperatures.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Activities include: ability to reach overhead, squat, and bend at the waist; the ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more; ability to climb up and down stairs throughout a shift; tolerance of standing posture continuously during shift; intense walking is involved. Dexterity for manipulating work materials; repetitive motion; proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English. Ability to respond to safety signals, such as those generated by forklifts.
