Through our partnership with the National Institutes of Health, Kelly Government Solutions offers administrative, IT, engineering, scientific, and healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with one of the most prestigious research organizations in the world. We are currently seeking a **Scientific Communications Editor** to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in **Rockville, MD.**

**OVERVIEW.** This is a long-term, open-ended contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES.** The contractor shall:

+ Provide writing, editing, and web content creation for the division and it associated public websites. This work could include news releases, meeting notes and summaries, infographics, or other products/content. Division websites include:,,,,,

+ Provide support for content creation for the division Twitter feeds, @NCIPrevention and @NCISymptomMgmt

+ Provide support for content creation for the division intranet,

+ Work independently and carry projects from idea to completed product.

+ Create and organize a communication plan to support cancer biomarker research and agent development research, as well as other NCI Division of Cancer Prevention programs.

+ Manage created materials which may include background documents, PowerPoint presentations, website content, memos, emails, infographics, video scripts and similar documents.

+ Serve as reviewer and editor for website-related materials; provide quality assurance, reviewing editorial styles, and oversight.

+ Provide editorial support and contribute to program contents.

+ Create and revise informational contents for all DCP websites.

**REQUIREMENTS.** The contractor must have:

+ Master's Degree in a scientific discipline such as biology, chemistry or related science

+ Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in technical writing

+ Experience writing for social media channels, especially Twitter.

+ Knowledge of biomedical research with experience in writing about cancer science preferred.

+ Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
