We are seeking a **Scientific Program Analyst** at the National Institutes of Health in **Bethesda, MD**

**Job Scope**


Provide support services to satisfy the

overall operational objectives of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National

Institute of Child Health

and Human Development. The primary objective is to provide services

and deliverables through

performance of support services.


**TASKS/SERVICES** . The contractor shall:

Researches and evaluates the operation of the organization's scientific programs.

Work with staff on the concept development, planning, execution and support of all project-related activities

Researches, interprets and summarizes background materials from a variety of scientific sources.

Conduct literature searches in PubMed, Web of Science and other information sources; manage references using bibliographic software

Compiles data and creates and prepares graphs, slides and presentations.

Prepare scientific and programmatic presentation materials such as tables, graphs, slides, abstracts, posters and overheads by assimilating and mastering the scientific data and programmatic con-text for use at presentations and meetings

Performs logistical planning of various scientific meetings, lectures, workshops.

Work with staff to identify key issues and track action items and tasks, providing deadline reminders to Program staff and update and maintain spreadsheets of relevant information

Plans, organizes and participates at a senior level in technical meetings and consultations.

Coordinate with strategic project leaders on the logistics annual in-person Committee meetings, monthly teleconferences or videoconferences, and additional teleconferences, videoconferences or electronic reviews to address key

issues

Analyzes existing scientific programs and makes recommendations for improvement.

Identify needs for and develop new formats and databases for reporting program management and budgetary data

Develops and prepares various scientific reports.

Track project progress and provide regular reports

Develops and implements new scientific programs in order to fulfill organizational goals and objectives.

Design, perform and complete research projects, applying scientific knowledge to each project, and provide a detailed summary of goals and scope, milestones and go decisions points

Develops and maintains clinical database.

Track clinical research studies for appropriate documentation

**Other**

Work with Program staff in communication-related efforts:

Work with Program staff and Communications staff to develop content and other materials for press releases, spotlights, and other social media materials

Work with Program staff and Communications staff to provide support for IDDB-related web pages, including review and periodic updates

Assist program staff to ensure compliance of content with 508 requirements, general readability, and sensitivity to patient and research participants interests

Attend meetings and conferences involving, occasionally, off-site travel

Provide outreach support for IDDB-related initiatives to the broader advocacy and investigator communities

Collaborate with staff on IDD-related outreach activities:

Schedule webinars, teleconferences, nomination announcements and other outreach activities to provide notifications and updates to the research and participant community about initiatives and projects

Following any initiative publication or when appropriate, work with Program staff to prepare materials and PowerPoint

presentations for outreach activities

Run technical aspects of webinars and participate along with IDDB team members

Work with staff on replying to any queries related to IDDB-related initiatives and provide outreach materials upon request

Work with IDDB Administrative Assistant and Program staff to schedule and provide support for IDDB meetings:

Circulate doodle polls and/or review NIH staff calendars to schedule calls, meetings, and webinars

Participate in IDD Branch meetings and discussions; review literature on IDD conditions of interest to the Branch

Assist staff to perform portfolio analysis and prepare reports for topics of relevance to IDD Branch activities

Promote a culture of inclusivity for research participants and cultivate and coordinate partnerships with advocacy groups
