We are currently seeking a Scientific Program Analyst to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Research Triangle Park, NC **.**

This is a long-term contract position which offers:

**TASKS.** The contractor shall:

+ Manage a project focused on populating the High Impact Tracking System with outcome and impact data associated with NIEHS Research Grants, including:

+ Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of NIEHS funded extramural research programs; analyze, synthesize and report data.

+ Evaluate, code and record environmental health science research outputs and impacts by reviewing applications, attending grantee meetings, reading program officer notes, reviewing grantee progress reports and updating databases.

+ Search and summarize data from the IMPAC II database, the main grants data system and the NIEHS High Impacts Tracking System.

+ Develop, implement and monitor scientific planning and evaluation processes.

+ Coordinate and communicate with NIH partners, contractors and grantees.

+ Organize and lead meetings; present results.

+ Develop and update project plans.

**REQUIREMENTS.** The contractor must have:

+ Masters degree in Public Health/Policy or a related discipline; three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelors degree in biomedical sciences, environmental or public health is equivalent to a Masters degree.

+ Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.

+ Broad knowledge of the biomedical field, with understanding of scientific research protocols, scientific portfolio analysis, research management and/or public health concepts.

+ Ability to analyze, synthesize and report results and outcomes of research activities using quantitative and qualitative evaluation methodologies.

+ Ability to use databases associated with tracking scientific research, such as the NIH IMPAC II database.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

+ Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
