We are currently seeking a **Scientific Program Manager** to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in **Bethesda, MD.**

**OVERVIEW.** This is a long-term, open-ended contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES.** The contractor shall:

+ Acquire and communicate knowledge in scientific program areas and priorities.

+ Facilitate seamless communication (e.g. via email, remote access platforms) with NIH staff and the extramural research community

+ Take a proactive role in tracking action items and tasks; provide deadline reminders to Program staff; update and maintain relevant resources (e.g. listservs, wiki pages, databases).

+ Participate in programmatic meetings and provide minutes/reports.

+ Work with NIH staff and serve as the point of contact with logistics contract staff to coordinate planning for various scientific meetings, conference calls, symposia, lectures and workshops.

+ Develop meeting agendas for Program working group meetings and other Program related meetings.

+ Work with program directors in coordinating research consortia and working groups.

+ Request information from and provide e-mail, phone and written responses to principal investigators (grantees), extramural program staff and others on scientific and programmatic issues.

+ Organize and maintain a repository of resources, including minutes, reports, programmatic documents, and shared platforms related to the program.

+ Provide support to program directors within the following scientific programs, and others, depending on program needs:

+ Interagency Modeling and Analysis Group (IMAG)

+ IMAG Multiscale Modeling Consortium wikimaster, secretary

+ Synthetic Biology Working Group




+ Review, proofread and archive programmatic documents for program development activities.

+ Track and analyze changes in policy and procedures related to current research and internal Program management and proactively inform Program staff of their implications.

+ Work with NIBIB OPESP staff on Program evaluations and overall analysis of Program progress; develop associated reports and presentations.

+ Create search criteria for locating scientific, program and related information available on the internet and through other means.

+ Conduct literature and database searches for material directed at specific programmatic needs and subsequent interpretation, analysis, and/or presentation of reports in scientific areas.

+ Develop and maintain database and website content related to scientific programs.

+ Maintain and distribute scientific papers relevant to specific programmatic needs.

+ Develop and maintain databases and websites on the various grants we support, to include reading and distributing grant applications to program directors for review.

+ Represent the Program at local and national meetings in collaboration with program staff by disseminating details of the Program and collect information of value to the Program goals.

+ Work with the NIH and NIBIB communications and IT staff to deploy content for use by the research community and the public.

**REQUIREMENTS.** The contractor must have:

+ BS degree in Bioengineering (or other engineering disciplines), Biomedical Imaging, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or other related discipline.

+ Minimum of five (5) years experience in statistical analysis, computer programming or a related field.

+ Skill in data analysis (R, Python, Ruby, SQL), preparation of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

+ Skill in collecting and analyzing both text and numerical data from the internet and other resources.
