Through our partnership with the National Institutes of Health, Kelly Government Solutions offers administrative, IT, engineering, scientific, and healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with one of the most prestigious research organizations in the world. We are currently seeking a **Scientist** to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in **Bethesda, MD.**

**OVERVIEW.** This is a long-term, open-ended contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES.** The contractor shall:

+ Develop new lines of research that align with the Section on Functional Imaging Methods (SFIM) research mission.

+ Conduct collaborative and independent research relating to ongoing projects within SFIM.

+ Provide general computational support to SFIM researchers to include accounts establishment, OS and application support, and general computer troubleshooting.

+ Provide general programming and coding support to SFIM researchers.

+ Help design and program brain activation stimuli or processing methods.

+ Work with staff to develop methods of processing and interpreting collected data.

**REQUIREMENTS.** The contractor must have:

+ Ph.D. degree in a scientific field. Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master's degree is equivalent to a Ph.D. Five (5) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelor's degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.

+ Seven (7) years of experience in a science related field. Demonstrates expert knowledge working in the research laboratory environment.

+ A strong passion for developing and advancing multimodal imaging methods, and, in

+ particular, fMRI.

+ Strong coding proficiency. Ideally this would include Python's scientific, machine learning, and visualization tools, git, and shell scripting.

+ Experience with scientific computing, ideally with MacOS, Linux, and working with high performance computing resources (e.g., NIH Biowulf cluster or equivalent cluster).

+ Experience with one or more of the major neuroimaging platforms (e.g., AFNI, fMRIPrep, FreeSurfer, FSL, SPM).

+ Experience with stimuli software (E-Prime, PsychoPy, Presentation, Psych Toolbox.
