Kelly Services is currently seeking a Scientist/Oncology Bioscience in Waltham, MA to work a contract assignment of 12 months for one of our top clients. **Primary Responsibilities of the** Scientist/Oncology Bioscience **includes:**



Dedicated to discovering, developing, and delivering innovative, meaningful medicines and other healthcare solutions that help enrich the life of patients, as well as their families and communities. The Oncology department's vision is redefining cancer, redefining our solutions to cancer and restoring patients' lives. We are seeking a motivated lab-based Scientist who will become a key member of a dynamic and collaborative in vitro biology team. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and run cell-based assays to evaluate early lead molecules, explore drug mechanism of action and to further understand cancer biology. These efforts will ultimately lead to the identification of oncology drug candidates and progress promising projects towards clinical development.


Key Responsibilities




+ Develop and perform cell-based assays (ex. Immunofluorescence, proliferation, cell cycle, apoptosis)

+ Perform mechanism of action assays involving western blotting, RT-qPCR, flow cytometry etc.

+ Analysis, interpretation and presentation of data

+ Maintenance of clear records of experimental work



Essential Requirements:




+ Experience with cancer biology and related cell-based assays.

+ Experience with high content imaging assays is a plus

+ Demonstrated proficiency in data processing and data management

+ Excellent problem solving skills

+ Innovative, organized, goal-oriented and timeline-conscious with a positive, collaborative attitude and an ability to work in a matrixed team-oriented environment



**Education and Experience Requirement of the** Scientist/Oncology Bioscience **includes** :



Bachelors or Masters degree in Cell Biology or equivalent



**Additional Information:**




+ Contract assignment, duration 12 months.

+ Work schedule: full-time, first shift.
