We are seeking an experienced individual to work as a **Scientist (Vaccine Production)** at the National Institutes of Health in **Gaithersburg, Maryland** .

**This is a long-term contract position which offers:**

**TASKS/SERVICES. The contractor shall:**

+ Conduct and participate in projects that are complex and scientifically demanding within a specific area/field.

+ Initiate, implement, plan, direct, and execute scientific research and development.

+ Make detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results. Demonstrate scientific rigor in assessing own data and that of others.

+ Effectively present results at internal meetings and participate at external scientific meetings.

+ Work and report to Immuno-assay sub-team in analytical development for all vaccine and monoclonal antibody projects; cross trains and supports other sub-teams when needed.

+ Conduct or participate in projects within Bioassay / Binding Group; Projects involved are FluMos v1,v2 vaccines, HIV-Trimer v1 and (base covered) v2 vaccines, HIV mAbs (CAP256v2LS), Malaria mAbs (CIS43, L9), etc. Position is a hands-on, laboratory-based role.

+ Perform experiments by variety of analytical instruments in binding group, e.g., Octet, ELISA, MSD,etc. and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts.

+ Work with VCMP on method / technology transfer, training and pre-qualifications for release assays and in-process testing; trains analysts in VCMP for titer and potency assays.

+ Fully use and apply analytical immune / binding assay principles, theories, concepts and techniques in a limited area or field.

+ Work on HCP/HCD development and testing support.

**REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:**

+ Position requires Ph.D. MS degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a B.S. degree with at least 8 years of experience.

+ Demonstrate ability for scientific insight and conceptual thinking.
