Kelly Services is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our top clients in Round Rock TX

As a Senior Accountant placed with Kelly Services, you will serve as an integral member of our clients accounting and finance team. Primary responsibilities will include the participattion in various processes and tasks to ensure the accurate reporting of the organizations financial position in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable regulatory requirements

**Additional Responsibilities Include:**

+ Oversee, implement and maintain accounting processes and procedures in accordance with sound accounting practices.

+ Identify financial accounting risks and internal control weaknesses and contribute toward developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

+ Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual close process and ensure tasks are completed in accordance with established timelines and requirements.

+ Prepare the companys GAAP-based consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, footnotes). Review financial statements for reasonableness. Understand relationships/dependencies between accounts in order to assess financial statement assertions (completeness, accuracy, cutoff, valuation, rights & obligations, presentation & disclosure) for a fair presentation of financial results.

+ Prepare tie-out support for financial statements.

+ Draft and update financial statement footnotes and perform benchmarking analysis, as necessary.

+ Develop technical expertise over GAAP reporting requirements.

+ Execute reporting controls and maintain documentation of such controls.

+ Prepare management and board reports and analysis in accordance with prescribed requirements and frequency.

+ Maintain tax compliance and reporting. This can include data gathering and analysis of information for the preparation of any Federal or state tax returns as well as actual preparation of certain returns or business license filings and annual reports.

+ Research and prepare work papers for various book-to-tax differences. Perform year-end accrual review and prepare tax provision.

+ Research accounting issues and prepare technical memorandum when requested.

+ Deliver presentations to various levels of management as requested. This can be in relation to budget, management reports, or any other analysis performed for the parent entity or one of its subsidiaries.

+ Evaluate assets for impairment, collectability, etc. Perform analysis on significant estimates to ensure proper valuation.

+ Prepare journal entries and maintain integrity of general ledger data.

+ Understand dependencies among various financial and operating systems. Communicate data integrity issues that may impact financials and/or business operations.

+ Perform account reconciliations. Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies identified in the reconciliation process.

+ Provide assistance with internal and external audits as needed.

+ Participate in budget process, variance analysis, and other types of reporting as requested.

+ Provide business units with necessary guidance and support. This can include providing business unit specific reporting and analysis on a routine or ad hoc basis depending on need. Provide technical accounting for new ventures.

+ Participate in statutory or client reporting as needed.

+ Assist with refining and enhancing financial reporting for the organization and its subsidiaries.

+ Evaluate and implement process improvements, including the identification and evaluation of business requirements for new automated solutions.

+ Support other functions and responsibilities of the department. Oversee, implement and maintain accounting processes and procedures in accordance with sound accounting practices.



_Required:_ Bachelors degree in a business discipline from an accredited college or university

_Preferred:_ Bachelors degree in Accounting



+ Minimum 5 years financial analysis, reporting, accounting experience or 4 years public accounting experience


+ Certified Public Accountant

+ NetSuite Experience

+ Experience working in a multi-subsidiary organization a plus
