A leading American company is in search of **Senior Compliance Officer** , in **Phoenix, Arizona**

**Location: 50% Hybrid / 50% on-site (M-F 8am-5pm)**

**Contract: 6 month contract**

**Payrate: $24.37/h**


The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Compliance Officer. The Senior Compliance Officer is responsible for work of considerable complexity in managing and coordinating the overall compliance of the Division of Developmental Disabilities to its AHCCCS contract and/or its contracted Administrative Services Subcontractors (AdSS).


Coordinates compliance audits, tracks and evaluates contract deliverables, and provides technical assistance and guidance to Division personnel.

Participate in a variety of contract monitoring activities such as conducting on-site Operational Reviews of performance and coordinating or facilitating Contractor Compliance meetings.

Assist with the scheduling and preparations for monitoring activities, including assisting in the development of contract compliance forms, analyzing and interpreting documents provided by AdSS or internal Subject Matter Experts (SME).

Reviews and analyzes plans of correction to assess compliance and present findings to the Contractor/ SME.

Provide technical assistance to AdSS/ SME related to implementation of Plans of Correction as a result of monitoring activities.

Tracks, trends and analyzes deliverables and data to identify impacts and potential efficiencies.

Conducts special projects and research.

Compiles information and creates a wide variety of reports and analyses to monitor and evaluate projects and programs.

Attends various meetings with or for the Contract Compliance Manager


Knowledge of managed care principles.

Knowledge of acute and long-term care principles.

Knowledge of Arizona Health Care Cost Containment Systems (AHCCCS) statutes, rules, policies and contract requirements.

Knowledge of Division statutes and rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Knowledge of organizational relationship of the Division to members/families, AdSS, subcontracted provider network and service provision.

Knowledge of Centers for Medicare/Medicaid (CMS).

Skill in oral and written communication.

Skill in applying critical thinking techniques.

Skill in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, OneNote, PowerPoint,etc.).

Skill in interpersonal relations and providing leadership.

Skill in planning, organizing, prioritizing.

Skill in program planning and evaluation as related to compliance development and improvement.

Ability to analyze information (various forms) to produce recommendations.

Ability to research and interpret policy, contract, statute and state requirements.

Ability to effectively communicate (oral/written) with both internal and external customers.

Ability to solve problems through critical thinking and apply lessons to a broad array of situations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to remain flexible while ensuring compliance.


- Bachelors degree in human service, public health or closely related field or certification in Healthcare Compliance preferred

- Experience in contract/ program administration, contract monitoring, or compliance in a managed care organization
