Job Description

Specific Requirements: Wants someone who has directly worked/managed a corporate lab (so someone coming directly from another food production company) or a food specific contract lab. This person must have experience working manufacturing locations, customers, HR, Finance, etc. and have managed their own P&L.

$120-$150K maybe $160K depending on the experience.

-Must have knowledge of the business as well as great knowledge of the lab.

-Oversee the Chestnut Labs locations in Missouri regarding day-to-day operational processes. Ensure the implementation of strategic planning, goals and objectives and financial, operational, and sales and marketing plans. Have ultimate responsibility for ensuring compliance with all accreditation standards and customer requirements. Manage current and new customer support and provide necessary resources for operations. Manage the Microbiology, Chemistry, Research, Education and Training, Auditing and Consulting, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Quality Systems divisions of the business unit.

Requirements

Education and Experience

BS in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Cell Biology and a Master's Degree in Business

8+ years of food testing laboratory experience and experience successfully managing processes and personnel

8+ years of prior food safety experience and knowledge in FSMA and food safety principles (sanitation, sanitary design, GMP's, GFSI schemes, PEM programs, CAPA, HACCP, etc.)

-Able to analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, trend reports, research and testing data

-Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers in an organized, precise, and detailed manner
