Senior Distribution Manager



The Senior Distribution Manager oversees company activities related to freight, logistics, shipping, receiving, returns and transfers. This role maintains high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations and establishes policies and procedures that result in the maximization of sales through timely deliveries. The Senior Distribution Manager assigns supervisors specific duties, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise and keeping of warehouse inventory. This position leads and develops the Warehouse and Logistics teams at multiple sites and ensures impeccable customer service to Company clients.

**Duties and Responsibilities**








+ Strategically manage the Warehouse and Logistics teams across multiple sites, to include any related logistics, transportation and customer service functions.

+ Supervise, coach, train and develop Warehouse and Logistics staff.

+ Ensure that the Warehouse consistently meets cost, productivity, accuracy, compliance and timeliness targets.

+ Direct, optimize and coordinate the full order cycle; Review stock levels; Reorder and track movement of goods.

+ Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.

+ Track, report and manage Warehouse quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.

+ Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per client and Company criteria.

+ Effectively handle and ensure resolution of Warehouse related problems, incidents or complaints. Direct the reclamation of damaged merchandise.

+ Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.

+ Maintain and report an accurate inventory of inbound and outbound materials.

+ Negotiate rates with carriers and identify and execute other related cost-saving and/or quality improvement opportunities.

+ Prepare and monitor Distribution-related budget items.

+ Ensure the safety of employees, as well as the maintenance and security of equipment, products and supplies against damage and theft.







**Required Qualifications**








+ Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.

+ 11 years professional Warehouse, Distribution and Supply Chain experience.

+ 7 years professional experience in leadership, supervision and/or management.

+ Proven success developing and managing high performing teams.

+ Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.

+ Excellent time management, organization, verbal and written communication skills.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.







**Preferred Qualifications**








+ Masters degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.

+ Certification in Material Management, APICS, and/or Lean Supply Chain.

+ Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.

+ Knowledge of KPIs and proven experience implementing related plans successfully.

+ Proven ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop, evaluate and implement solutions.

+ Bilingual in English/Spanish.
