**Electrical Engineer Job Description**


Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for a long-term engagement at one of our Global Construction & Manufacturing equipment clients in Dayton, OH **.**


This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. As a KellyOCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. **Position Overview**


The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for architecting and implementing electrical designs in consultation with the system, control, firmware, and application software teams, in a series of prototyping, development and production build phases designed to provide the system with the necessary component hardware.


+ The Senior Electrical Engineer works with the product and project managers to ensure that the correct build states are completed as scheduled.

+ The senior electrical engineer will also be responsible for an in-depth analysis of the design performance while providing guidance and test plans for the design verification and regulatory teams.

+ In addition to the above, our client also engages ODM developers for the design and manufacture of system support products (tablets, valve modules, etc).

+ The senior electrical engineer will have as a minimum, a monitoring role, assisting in the design management of the ODM.

+ In practice, this is likely to include, having sufficient knowledge of all aspects of a design to be able to, participate in In-depth design reviews, offer advice on critical areas, and be able to communicate concerns to the ODM.


**Position Responsibilities**


+ Lead the technical expertise of IMU designs

+ Contributes authoritative technical expertise in a particular technical area, which can be used in multiple systems.

+ Generates input to his/her own task plans and schedules.

+ Identifies and develops new technologies for new or existing products.

+ Assumes leadership role in day-to-day technical issues.

+ Responsible for attending technical trade shows, conferences, and seminars.

+ Assumes leadership role in finding the expeditious resolution of critical complex technical problems.

+ Conducts and generates input to the design review process.

+ Supports the successful transition of completed products to manufacturing by providing pertinent ECNs (Engineering Change Notices), contributes to writing test procedures, and designing test fixtures.

+ Contributes information and support to presentations to customers and to discussions of technical issues at program reviews.

+ Supplies guidance on technical matters and task schedules.

+ Makes presentations to customers and discussions of technical issues at program reviews.

+ Supports the successful transition of completed products to manufacturing through planning activities such as NPI (new product introduction) product builds.


**Required Qualifications**


+ Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or bachelors degree with equivalent

+ commensurate experience

+ 10+ years of relevant experience working with Inertial Components (gyros, accelerometers, etc.)

+ Strong electronic circuit design expertise

+ Familiarity with C and C++ firmware development

+ Strong testing and circuit debugging experience.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills needed to write technical / functional

+ specifications, test plans and other documentation.

+ Electronic Circuit research experience

+ Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) experience with accelerometers and gyroscopes needed.

+ MEMs sensor experience needed.

+ MATLAB

+ Excel

+ SPICE (PSpice) simulation program experience.

+ Agile PLM and Oracle ERP experience preferred.
