We are seeking a **Senior Financial Operations Project Manager** for a leading manufacturing company in **Boulder, CO!**

**Schedule:** Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm **Remote Role (must be able to work MST)**

**Assignment** : Direct Hire

**Pay:** $90,000-$135,000 plus bonus eligibility

**Travel:** Up to 10% may be required


Our Senior Operations Project Manager is a key member of the Graphic Communications team and is critical in managing day to day operational functions for the department. This self-directed, high-impact role empowers you to manage multiple projects simultaneously, easily flex between diverse activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the execution of our portfolios including project management activities, financial planning/reporting and analysis, effective communications, and day-to-day operations support. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

**Operations Project Management**

Define, monitor, and manage execution of assigned projects; define milestones, create project plans, define project structure, monitor project activity, establish release guidelines /controls, and project closure activities to ensure progress according to the plan and timelines while achieving the customer and business requirements.

Provide regular status update reports and KPI reporting (including dashboards, trackers. etc.), and potential mitigation strategies, as needed, to ensure successful achievement of deliverables.

Proactively recommends alternatives, approaches to business problems in the assigned area, consults on technology challenges, system issues and implementing cross functional solutions.

Applies business acumen and enterprise knowledge, including promoting decisions and recommendations for strategies that are clearly linked to results.

Lead others to coordinate investigation, resolution, and improvement activities.

Engage stakeholders as needed in resolving trade-offs in scope, priority, risk, and business impact across projects and other initiatives.

Provide functional/application expertise within the assigned function including conducting in depth quality reviews on design and testing of financial tools/system.

**Communication Management**

Establish and maintain strong relationships with peers, stakeholders, leaders, and team members to continually develop and enhance the capabilities of the high-performing and dynamic environment.

Develop and maintain business process documentation, including procedures, business process narratives, diagrams, flowcharts to improve policies, procedures, and maintain business control objectives.

Develop presentation materials which effectively communicate complex concepts (including graphics & data analytics) and recommendations.

Identify, communicate, and implement project plans, schedules, status updates and potential mitigation strategies, as needed, to ensure successful achievement of deliverables.

As appropriate, challenge the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement.

Financial Planning and Forecasting

Proactively develops and monitors monthly reporting requirements, including financial planning, forecasting, actuals reporting (qualitative & quantitative), internal contracts, capital and expense reconciliation, invoicing, ad hoc reports, and value add data analysis. Analyzes financial and operational information to assess, interpret and predict/forecast business performance to support management decisions.

Coordinates with all levels of management and staff to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial and operating plans and forecasts.

Provide organizational guidance and (generalist) be subject matter expert and operations/financial resource.

Prepare annual financial expense and capital budget, report and track monthly actuals vs plan understanding key variances and utilizing gathered information to provide updated financial forecasts to executive management.


Minimum 7 years progressive experience in operations and/or project management preferably within multi-stakeholder research and development or professional services environments.

Bachelors degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field required. PMP Certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding teamwork skills.

Strong organizational, change management, collaboration, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to learn quickly and exercise judgment in ambiguous situations.

Ability to present complex analysis with clarity and must be able to work in a deadline driven environment.

Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with a high degree of proficiency in data mining and forecasting model development.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining sharp attention to detail. Proven ability to analyze problems and create solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.

Demonstrated experience in ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex business problems ability to get to root cause and make connections from data analysis; ability to confidently recommend solutions and ensure appropriate remediation strategies are employed.

Demonstrated experience leading and working within matrixed and cross functional teams Proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment both individually and as a member of a team.

Detail oriented; maintains accurate and organized data including financial reports, presentations and analysis and enabling reuse.

Must possess advanced Microsoft Suite skills (Advanced Excel required, Power BI preferred, proficient PowerPoint skills, MS Teams).

Relationship building and strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to establish credibility/rapport with key stakeholders within and outside the organization and in a virtual environment.

Proven ability to develop and implement continuous improvement and innovative solutions that create efficiencies and support rapidly shifting business demands.
