Description Kelly Services is currently recruiting a Senior Payroll Administrator for a great company in NYC! This role is for a well known, modern and fun company!


• Support the global employee payroll function

• Act as primary liaison with finance team and employees regarding payroll questions

• Participate in payroll-related audits (internal/external, 401k, etc.), W-2 production & distribution

• Coordinate with the finance team to manage tax filings and remittances for several states and the federal government

• Ensure compliance with regional legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed action

• Oversee time tracking and leave management to ensure employees’ time is properly recorded and related pay transactions are processed accurately

• Ensuring smooth execution of new hire payroll and accurate treatment of insurance and retirement

• Act as a liaison regarding employee paperwork and other payroll related issues with Benefits, Human Resources, and Accounting Departments to streamline processes

• Prepare reports for the Executive team as well as the Finance and Human Resources functions & respond to data requests from Department of Labor and other government agencies as required

• Lead corporate-wide projects to improve payroll processes & be responsible for the resolution of non-routine payroll-related issues


• 5 to 7 years of progressive experience supporting/managing payroll processing for 1200+ domestic & global employees within a Multi-national organization

• Experience working within a high-growth, fast-paced organization, specifically a start-up company

• International payroll knowledge and experience a plus

• Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws, IRS and state guidelines and regulations, reciprocities

• Detail oriented and deadline driven

• High degree of professionalism and respect for confidentiality

• High level of “customer service” skills

• Experienced working within HRIS systems, specifically reporting

• A mindset for evaluating processes and driving continuous improvement and efficiency

• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
