Kelly Scientific is seeking a **Senior Program Manager** for a **Direct Hire opportunity in Durham, NC** to lead drug development projects in a biotechnology manufacturing environment and manage cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with contractual obligations and Client expectations. This person must be comfortable being client facing, multi-tasking, managing multiple projects at once, populating and maintaining financial information while showing initiative, drive and exceptional business savvy.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the following:

+ Develops and manages timeline to ensure project deliverables are being met, on time and on budget

+ Manages project and project timelines through all phases of development, from project kick-off through close-out.

+ Manages all contractual and financial aspects of the project, including finalization of proposal/task order and subsequent amendments, monthly budget reviews, forecasting, materials review, assessment of work performed and appropriate Client invoicing and vendor payments

+ Ensures that projects are conducted on time, within scope and budget, and meets Client agreed upon quality standards and expectations

+ Ensures timely execution of project deliverables produced by project core teams

+ Schedules, facilitates, and documents project related meetings

+ Ensures cross-functional project team alignment and adherence to contract, scope of work, and project plan

+ Assesses and communicates resourcing needs effectively

+ Primary point of contact for all Client communications and coordination of third-party vendor and project needs

+ Manages and cultivates Client relationship and escalates any Client and team concerns through appropriate leadership channels

+ Acts as a contributing member of Program Management Organization

+ Assists business development department in development of proposals as needed

+ Oversees and mentors junior level PMs for larger programs

+ Leads departmental initiatives as appropriate, including process development and improvement

Qualifications include:

+ BS/BA degree required; BS/BA degree in scientific, engineering or health-related field preferred; or its international equivalent

+ Project Management Professional Certification preferred

+ Minimum ten years experiencing managing multiple complex projects in a biotech/pharmaceutical setting

+ Experience with stakeholders, external Clients, and 3rd party vendor management

+ Strong computer skills, including a solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to learn other applications

+ Relevant experience in different areas of drug/vaccine development and manufacturing (i.e process development, manufacturing, technology transfer and quality assurance)

+ Experience supervising or managing professional staff in a contract development and manufacturing environment without direct authority

+ Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to gain the cooperation of others

+ Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

+ Working knowledge of biopharmaceutical terminology supporting cGMP practices

+ Ability to travel a Minimum of 5%
