**Direct hire opportunity as a Senior Quality Engineer, Chassis with an intelligent automotive mobility company in Hanford, CA**

**Hours: M - F; 8am - 5pm**

**Salary up to $150,00 (depending on experience)**

+ Responsible for the planning, development and coordination/realization and execution of all quality activities concerning new product development, with the main focus on trim/chassis from the conception stage through the start of production.

+ Leads and reviews all design drawings and changes, preparation sheets, process procedures, test procedures, procurement documents, quality manuals, and inspection analysis to ensure the company and customer quality requirements are met.

+ Participates in the development of Process and Design FMEAs.

+ Generate and champion the prototype process for problem solving, test failures and report First Time Capability for prototype builds.

+ Facilitate prototype dimensional layouts and prepare prototype PPAP submissions.

+ Participate in the development of new product quality parameters, gauges and equipment.

+ Recommend design and manufacturing method changes to new products.

+ Analyze product to establish statistical control characteristics.

+ Perform technical support and analyses to resolve product problems as they occur in the manufacturing process.

+ Assist sales personnel and design and manufacturing engineers in resolving customer complaints.

+ Meet with customers to plan test and manufacturing programs to qualify the customer's product to meet their requirements.

+ Initiate dimensional layouts on product for the purpose of quality for production release.

+ Identify changes and track the quality level of preproduction runs to ensure the product meets the capability levels identified for the line readiness event activities as required by different OEMs.

+ Compile and document Pre-launch Control Plans, Prototype Quality Procedures and PPAP; Maintain the documentation to ensure accuracy of content until program is released and has achieved specified yield goals.

+ Develop performance specifications for inspection equipment; Develop and maintain quality assurance test plans and procedures for use in monitoring electronic component and product quality; Develop gauge repeatability and reproductability studies.

+ Provide quality engineering resolutions for problem solving, from the advanced planning stage to mass production.

+ Perform product/process analysis for launch; cost reduction, quality and efficiency improvements.

+ Perform field product performance assessments including reviewing customer warranty data, customer processing failure, landed quality.

+ Work with customer warranty and quality personnel to analyze, track, and troubleshoot defective returned parts.

+ Report customer defect and warranty claims to management using charts, statistical analysis, 8Ds or other presentation methods.

+ Interface with the production and design facilities to ensure the timely completion of faulty, warranty, and return parts analysis; report results to customers and management.

+ Design statistical reliability test programs; analyze and report reliability testing results.

+ Design statistical sampling plans and experiments using various statistical methods to assure product conformance to specifications; perform internal and external audits.

+ Use computer and develop software program for special statistical analyses and capability studies.


+ A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, etc) or other technical discipline.

+ 3+ years of quality engineering experience (particularly trim/chassis manufacturing-focused)

+ Experienced in QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA required

+ Specific training and demonstrated success in applying quality problem solving methods such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc.

+ Experience with various reliability test techniques

+ Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques

+ Must be very comfortable with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

+ Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
