Description **Summary:**

The primary responsibilities for the Quality Engineer position will be to provide leadership to the organization in the areas of Supplier Quality, Quality Systems improvements and general Quality support that improves overall product Quality. The position will involve monitoring outgoing product quality levels via reviews of non-conforming reports, CAPAs and Customer Complaint records. Additionally, the candidate will be asked to support Regulatory Affairs and Engineering personnel in new product/process design to ensure effective processes are established early in the life cycle of the new products. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong understanding of FMEA risk management methodology and help drive the identification and elimination of risks (process & design) that could impact the achievement of first time quality. Prior internal/Supplier audit experience is desirable and they will preferable be lead auditor qualified to ISO 13485:2016.


**Experience Requirements:**


1. Working knowledge of Quality System Regulation (QSR 21 CFR 820) and ISO 13485.
2. Experienced auditing to ISO13485 and QSR 21 CFR 820 Quality standards.
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
4. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

**Education Requirements:**


1. Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
2. Trained Lead Auditor, preferably to ISO13485:2016.

**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:**


1. Typical office environment with flexibility for travel to Suppliers as required to support the business.
2. Must be able to use basic office equipment: computer, printer, copier, telephone, etc.
3. Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time.
4. Must be capable of communicating with stakeholders through various means.
