Kelly Engineering is seeking Sr. Research Engineers in Alpharetta, GA. These are permanent positions and the hiring manager is motivated to hire immediately. **Job Overview and Responsibilities**


+ The Research Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and implementing advancements in compounding technology.

+ She/he will also be responsible for the industrialization of new products during pilot scale and full implementation into manufacturing.

+ Maintain a safe work environment for self and others.

+ Evaluate new or improved technologies related to compounding.

+ Lead implementation of new/improved technologies into compounding plants

+ Work with R&D Product Development scientist for scale up of new compounds during the pilot scale up

+ Lead industrialization of new products into defined manufacturing locations, work with manufacturing engineers.

+ Develop relationships with each compounding site organization, for efficient and effective translation of new technologies, and/or new products into those sites

+ Work with Sales/Marketing/Tech Service/Supply Chain, and customers, for product/line qualifications.

+ Assists in the review and monitoring of product performance by plant location.

+ In this position, you will be able to:

+ Be exposed to wide range of technologies and products across Specialty Polymers portfolio

+ Enable new products to successfully reach the market

+ Interface with numerous stakeholders throughout the organization including manufacturing, product and assets management, and customer-facing teams


**Required Qualifications**


+ Degree in material or polymer science/engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.

+ PhD degree strongly preferred for new university hire

+ BS/MS with 5+ years relevant work experience will also be considered

+ Experience with high temperature, engineering thermoplastics.

+ Demonstrated strong mechanical skills

+ Strong technical and problem-solving skills

+ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

+ Strong communications skills (oral and written)

+ Demonstrated leadership ability
