**Overview**


We are seeking a Senior Scientist, Immunology and Autoimmunity for one of our clients, a precision immunology biotherapeutics company focused on the development of disruptive therapies for the treatment of autoimmunity, allergy, and inflammation. In this role, the successful candidate must have an in-depth immunological understanding of the processes that drive immune dysfunction and have worked with antibodies and other biologics.


**Responsibilities**


+ Design, execute and analyze pre-clinical autoimmune disease studies to evaluate efficacy and mechanism of action of various biologics

+ Familiarity with immunological principles and techniques including primary cell culture, FACS, ELISA, qPCR, and single cell sequencing.

+ Perform biomarker assessment, such as MSD and bead-based cytokine quantification, gene and familiar with expression analysis such as 10x genomics

+ Experience with murine autoimmune disease models

+ Experience in immune cell-based assay development and target validation

+ Interface with projects and teams across the organization to advance our programs

+ Accomplish goals under project team timelines

+ Support, teach and mentor co-workers as needed

+ Supervise research associates.

+ Manage timelines and deliverables.

+ Develop reports for various projects.

+ Experience in immune cell-based assay development and target validation

+ May also participate in the laboratory evaluation of clinical trials involving engineering of peripheral blood stem cell grafts for improved allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation outcomes, and in the development of future immunotherapy strategies.

+ Clear communication in both oral and written form.

+ Utilization of appropriate technology, i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, and other programs to create and distribute reports and key information.


Coordination of parallel tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization.


Interpret and effectively execute upon a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram or schedule formats.


Self-motivated and independently minded.


Positive interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals from a variety of levels and function.


**Qualifications**


+ PhD in Biology, Immunology or a related field

+ 3-5+ years of post-doctoral experience; industry experience is a plus

+ Experience in immune cell-based assay development and target validation Experience with murine autoimmune disease models

+ Direct hands-on experience with generating and analyzing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells

+ In-depth understanding of TCR mediated signaling and antigen presentation and recognition

+ Demonstrated experience in PCR, cloning, vector design and Westerns, as well as, flow cytometry, ELISPOT, target cell killing assays, cloning, vector design and cell culture.

+ Ability to understand and execute on the companys mission and values.

+ Maintain a high degree of ethical standard and trustworthiness.

+ Capable of fostering change in an organization.

+ Ability to think and adapt to a rapidly changing environment and demands.

+ Able to reach rational conclusions through complex processing of information.
