Description **Sr Principal Engineer - Round Lake, IL**

**Duration** : 1 Year

**Pay Rate:** $53-56/Hr

**Experience & Requirements:**


+ Quality Engineering operating in a medical device industry
+ ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and 21CFR820
+ Project management experience: ability to coordinate/ interface with off-shore resources to drive assignments and lead project for entire system.
+ Software development and/or validation experience
+ Located in RL: capable of traveling when necessary. International and domestic travel up to 5%
+ Need to start 2Q2018
**Expectations** :


+ Requirements and Risk review / approval;

+ Each subsystem, including HW and SW will have requirements cascading: from user requirements to system to sub-system to implementation to verification

+ HW and SW risk review and approval – e.g. Risk Management Plan, FMEA, DFMEA

+ Familiar with requirements management tool - e.g. DOORS
+ Defect Handling;

+ Will attend meetings to resolve / close / defer defects - Subsystem CCB / Project CCB - where appropriate;

+ Familiar with defect management tools (JIRA, ClearQuest)
+ Technical Reviews - training on SOP;

+ Voice of quality in technical aspect of reviews (i.e. does the review make sense; do we have appropriate action items - follow-ups)

+ Attendee / approver
+ V&V:

+ Reviews / approves HW and SW test cases - focusing on testing to requirements;

+ Familiar with SW algorithm verification and validation (C+ and Qt on Linux);

+ Familiar with configuration management / test article management;

+ Familiar with testing management tool - HP ALM;

+ Delineates testing defects (HP ALM) to actual product / requirement defects (JIRA);

+ Reviews / approves / rejects defects in HP ALM
+ Test Method Validation - training on SOP;

+ Reviews / approves test method validations
+ Protocols / Reports - training on SOP;

+ System & Sub-system type protocols / reports review / approval (TcU)

+ See V&V
+ Integration:

+ Hardware, Algorithm, and Software outputs;

+ Ensure requirements are well defined and correctly implemented;

+ Integrates with other systems (e.g. disposables)

+ See V&V
+ Provides guidance to team on how to be compliant in testing / verbiage / defect handling / etc.
+ Design Transfer – training on SOP;

+ Product Surveillance / Listening System Transfer;

+ DMR transfer to CMO
**Education** :

Degree in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related discipline.
