SUMMARY OF POSITION:   
The Senior UX Designer will research, test, and design for a suite of products used through all phases of clinical  research.  This role will directly assist the UX Lead to help drive efforts  toward unifying, standardizing, and improving the various applications and the processes and tools used in the teams daily work. The Senior UX Designer will design for clinical researchers and those who support clinical trials to improve their daily activities and increase their effectiveness in serving their patients.   
 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 
-Bachelors  Degree  in  computer  science, UX  or a UX-related field preferable, or equivalent experience 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: 
-3+ years of experience designing the user experience for complex web applications, (beyond marketing/brochure websites).   
-Forward-thinking approach to UX design and web technologies 
-Advanced knowledge of Photoshop or other Adobe CS tools 
-Experience with prototyping tools such as InVision or Axure 
-Open-mindedness and collaborative attitude - you enjoy working through complex ideas with other knowledgeable people 
-Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS 
-Demonstrated skill in applying attractive visual design to promote ease of use 
-Ability to write clear, concise copy and microcopy to communicate with users through UI, email, and related materials 
-Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus 
-Understanding of front-end development - the ability to talk about technical feasibility with development team - is a plus 
-Portfolio required with application for consideration. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. 
-Collaborate with product management, engineering, customer implementation teams, and customers to define and implement innovative solutions to complex user problems 
-Participate and facilitate in user/customer interviews  
-Contribute to the creation of user personas 
-Design interfaces and workflows working closely with Business Analysts to understand, meet, and influence requirements  
-Advocate for user involvement at key points in the design and development process 
-Contribute to building and maintaining design system 
-Create mockups and prototypes for our development team 
-Present mockups for feedback with internal stakeholders and external customers  
-Coordinate and conduct usability tests and create a short write-ups presenting your findings 
-Work directly with developers to produce CSS and advise on best practices with styling 
-Attend daily stand-ups with scrum team, as necessary 
-Play a crucial role in the evolution of and adherence to our design language and standards 
-Give input into new tools and technologies to improve user experience and our own work processes 
-Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position. 
-On occasion may require evening and weekend work, based on business need. 
-Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here. 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:  This role may require up 10% travel which may be domestic or 
international, including overnight and weekend stays as necessary, consistent with project needs and office location
