**Position Overview**


The Senior Calibration Technician will join a highly successful and fast paced business. This individual will be a motivated, engaging, and reliable Electronic and Process Calibration Technician. This role will be instrumental in the continued growth of the organization's client base.

**Job Description**


Technicians will perform routine calibrations of low to mid level instruments in the calibration laboratory and where necessary, at customers locations (on-site). The calibration disciplines cover the areas of mechanical and dimensional equipment, force, pressure, torque, mass, temperature, infrared thermometry, humidity, chemical, dimensional, accelerometry, noise, vibration, DC & low frequency, microwave and RF. Technicians will also perform equipment maintenance as necessary and participate in internal audits and proficiency testing. Collateral duties may be assigned as permanent part of position description depending on individuals abilities.


**Responsibilities**


+ Ensure customer satisfaction and timely turn-around on all equipment and service,

+ Perform calibration and repair of low to medium level test and measurement equipment. Provide field calibration and service on equipment,

+ Create Before and After data sheets accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision based upon instrument specifications and approved calibration procedures,

+ Have general knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z-540-1 requirements,

+ Complete all documentation associated with position accurately and efficiently while maintaining a 4 % or less Quality Documentation Inspection (QDI) discrepancy rate,

+ Maintain technical proficiency and effectiveness through various courses such as self-study, local college and internal training program,

+ Perform other laboratory support functions as required in an efficient and orderly manner

+ Complete predetermined tasks with minimal supervision


**Skills/Abilities Required:**


+ Advanced knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis

+ Experience in the use of hand tools

+ Working knowledge in the use of Windows based applications

+ Strong communication skills


**Education/Experience**


+ High school graduate, and

+ Minimum of 5 - 7 years of similar work experience

+ Preferred 8 - 10 years of similar work experience

+ Calibration experience with electronic process equipment and temperature pressure gauges

+ Senior level experience in a similar work environment with electrical process or mechanical equipment a plus

+ Supervisory experience a plus


Looking to move quickly, this role is open due to an upcoming retirement. Training will be provided.
