**Title: Material Control Coordinator**



**Location: Bohemia, New York**



**Shift: Mon-Fri 8AM-6PM**



**Pay Rate: $50-55K/year (Depending on experience)**



**Duration: Direct-Hire**





**_Our client located in Bohemia is looking for an experienced Material Control Coordinator to join their team!_**





This individual will be responsible for the entire flow of all material within the facility; to include, receiving and distributing goods and materials into and out of the ERP system and physical stock; assigning parts and materials to jobs; overseeing stock levels to ensure ample but not excessive stock levels.





**Responsibilities:**



Responsible for the movement, and tracking of, all material into and from incoming inspection, inventory, WIP staging areas, and application and testing labs.



Prepare all material for shipment using appropriate and applicable boxes, crates, pallets and packaging materials. Potentially assist with build and preparation of shipping crates and pallets.



Responsible for the movement of all material throughout the building as required using hand truck, pallet jack, forklift or other applicable manual and motorized equipment **.**



Enter all material movement transactions into ERP system, run reports and generate documents from ERP system and ensure the physical location and physical counts are in sync with system details.



Work with Logistics and Finance team to properly plan all shipments and ensure all shipping documentation is completed accurately and in advance of pick-up/shipment.



Prepare kits as needed to deliver to Production team as well as outside Fabricators and vendors.



Conduct quarterly physical inventory counts.



Monitor stock and consumable inventory levels and generate requisitions to ensure an uninterrupted supply of consumables.



Coordinate activities with Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineer to ensure all material is received in-house and released to Production team as and when needed.



Oversee and plan for all component testing.



Coordinate with purchasing and technical team to process material returns.



Occasional travel to fabricators, supplier, customer locations, and to the NY facility to transport and/or procure material and components using Company supplied box truck and/or personal vehicle.



Responsible for maintaining a safe, hazard free OSHA complaint workplace with full responsivity for the maintenance of SDS sheets for facility.



Provide support to Production team in system integration, system assembly, and the crating, packaging and shipment of systems.



Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned including clean-up, department organization, material movement, and forklift operation.



Responsible for keeping production, inventory, and shipping/receiving areas neat & orderly.













**Requirements:**



HS Diploma or Associates Degree in technical discipline.



5+ years of comparable experience in a material control or inventory related position for a small manufacturing organization.



Prior experience working with an MRP, ERP system or MS AX.



Capable of passing a pre-employment drug test and legally authorized to work in the US and work with ITAR controlled material.



Understanding of OSHA regulations.



Experienced in the use of basic computer applications (Word, Excel).



Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal and capable of following written and verbal instructions.



Available to work extended hours and weekends, as workload requires.



Must be a strong team player, capable of thriving within a close knit, cross functional team environment.



Expected to effectively communicate in person, on phone, and via email and other electronic devices on a continual and repetitive basis.



Required to do lifting, moving, carrying and maneuvering materials up to 50 pounds alone; heavier with assistance.
