Shop Manager - Astoria Queens

Our client located in Astoria Queens is seeking an experienced manager, for their environmentally friendly mobile food cart business. They are seeking an individual who is familiar with working in a garage environment, has practical experience working as a mechanic, and experience as a manger as well. This resource will manage 4 employees, however when fully staffed they will manage 9 in total.

Responsibilities will include:

Administrative duties - HR duties related to managing direct reports

Facility management - related to safety standards and maintaining inventory

Workflow management - related to effectively managing direct reports, in addition to overseeing and performing inspections and repairs on various equipment


Availability to work nights, holidays, weekends as needed

Experience managing teams of technicians

Knowledge of mechanics and repairs

Skilled in using hand and power tools
