This is a 10-month contract position at 40 hours per week.

**Duties:**




**Job Duties:**




+ Manage issues on a daily basis with respect to the categories including internal/external partners issues etc.

+ Negotiates, reviews, and executes contractual arrangements per company policy and business objectives

+ Oversees the supplier performance management program for assigned Research & Development spend categories.



**Interfaces:**




+ All businesses and functions with external spend in this global category

+ Relevant internal/external stakeholders

+ GBS

+ (senior) Category Managers



**Accountabilities:**




+ Implement Category Strategy following the centrally stipulated Target Operating Model (TOM) and inform accordingly local Business Partners (BPs).

+ Identify, evaluate and classify sourcing risks and devise risk mitigation measures.

+ Manage risk exposure.

+ Identify and evaluate existing and potential local suppliers as well as the establishment and maintenance of supplier relations.

+ Use Business Review Meeting and KPI leverage to resolve potential issues at an early stage.

+ Feedback (senior) Category Manager as needed.

+ Manage local Business Partners actively and collaborate in order to align common goals.

+ Coordinate Business Partner demands within Sourcing and ensure that relevant information is shared and Business Partner is supported adequately.

+ Optimize buying channels and leverage market opportunities

+ Leverage sourcing tools (including e or reverse-auction, parallel negotiation etc ...)

+ Maximize usage of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs) as possible






**Skills:**




**Regulatory and/or Organizational Requirements:**




+ Ensure to be aware of mandatory SOPs including GxP requirements and be in compliance with.

+ Act at all times within the local pharmaceutical standards/ethics (ABAC)/legal.

+ Report all adverse events to the local PV within the required timelines.

+ Follow all company procedures and processes with respect to Finance, HR, IT, etc.



**Job Expertise/Skills:**




+ Pharmaceutic Industry knowledge preferred

+ Local market knowledge

+ Category specificity knowledge preferred

+ Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), including project planning techniques and software is required.



**Required Capabilities:**



3-6 years of sourcing experience in category(ies) management.

**Education:**




Degree/Education: Masters degree preferred or Diploma degree;



Major focus: Business Administration or Pharmaceutic
