Kelly Educational Staffing is NOW HIRING for Long-Term Special Education Paraprofessionals (also known as Teacher's Assistants) in the Augusta area. Paraprofessionals play an important role in every classroom, assisting teachers with classroom instruction and supporting children with their daily learning.

In these positions, please expect to work 30+ hours/wk throughout the school year with the flexibility to work with K-12 grades.

Including :

- Classroom Special Education

- Inclusion Special Education

- 1 to 1 Special Education

Responsibilities include:

- Serve as an assistant in the classroom; being prompt, dependable, and regular in attendance.

- Work cooperatively with teachers and administrators

- Assist with the supervision of students while promoting activities to enhance the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of students

- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as expected of the teacher

- Perform tasks assigned by the principal or lead teacher

- Operate and maintain classroom equipment


Qualified applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Able to use school technology to include light typing and e-mailing.

- Completion of online training Smart Practices.

- Education Minimum Requirement:

- An Associate's Degree or higher OR

- 60 semester or 90 quarter hours from an accredited college/university OR

- High School Diploma/GED + passing score on GACE Paraprofessional Assessment
