Job Description:


SUMMARY:


Assists brazer with cutter drill bits in the oil and gas field.


Spinner operator manipulates and rotates the bits


Majority of time will be as a spinner:


Spinner operator manipulates cutters into position using tongs and/or other hand tools to aid in the process and adds flux as needed for proper brazing.


May also:


+ Prepare bits for brazing operation by blasting bit, grinding pockets to correct size to fit cutters and adding flux paste to bit cutting structure to have ready for next bit in queue.

+ Operate kiln heating oven and/or induction heating unit to heat workpiece to proper temperature for brazing or other braze related process.
