Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a **Sr. Analyst (Real World Evidence Machine Learning)** for a long-term engagement with one of our Global Pharma clients

This person will join our Kelly FSP (Functional Service Provider) division, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly. This role is full-time and is offering full benefit options. **Position Summary**

The Medical Device Epidemiology and Real-World Data Sciences (MD Epi-RWDS) organization is an industry leader, on the cutting edge of conducting observational and epidemiologic research to support post-market safety and effectiveness, regulatory submissions, product development, product launches, value assessments, predictive analytics, machine learning, and business development of medical devices.


The team leads Real-World Data innovation and methodological excellence across Medical Device sector and provides skills and expertise in using real-world evidence to support label extension, product development, safety, value demonstration for payers, and other activities.

**Principal Duties**

The Senior Analyst will partner closely with colleagues from the broader organization to extract raw data from servers, create analytical data files, and execute statistical analyses based on protocol specifications.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include overseeing, executing, and/or reviewing code for analyses against in-house observational data resources, including administrative healthcare claims, surveys, and electronic health records, as well as consultation and support to evaluate data external to the customer.

The position will be primarily responsible for developing code sets for team approval, creating data specification files and analytical files by writing and executing programs across our available observational databases, executing statistical analyses conducting quality assurance and code validation, reviewing programming code and data, drafting analysis reports, and supporting the final publication/presentation of results.

The position will also be involved in analyzing machine generated digital data from surgical procedures and linking these to patient outcomes in electronic health records. In addition, the candidate will run machine learning predictive models to identify which patients benefit from which types of surgical procedures.


**Education and/or Experience**

Required:

A Masters or PhD degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, Public Health, Informatics, or another related field

At least 5 years of experience in statistical programming in R or SAS, and database programming in SQL or Python

At least 5 years of experience in programming against large healthcare datasets

In-depth knowledge of the structure and caveats of healthcare claims databases, electronic medical records and/or hospital billing data

Agility to work in a fast paced, changing environment


**Preferred:**

At least 2 years of relevant prior work experience in the healthcare industry within a pharmaceutical or device company, insurer, or within a health system

Knowledge in epidemiologic and statistical concepts such as confounding, bias, cumulative incidence, incidence rate, regression models, survival analyses

Familiarity with comparative safety or effectiveness evaluations using propensity score balancing methods

Knowledge in machine learning and artificial intelligence modeling

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate well with team members
