Today we are excited to be hiring a **_Sr. Cell Therapy Manufacturing Associate_** for a therapeutics manufacturing company in San Diego, CA! The **_Sr. Cell Manufacturing Associate_** will be responsible for the production of various cellular products in a clean room environment in a cGMP, and ISO environment. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of critical supplies equipment, product testing, product storage, and product distribution.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Cell thawing, cell passaging, cell feeding, harvesting, cell counting, cryopreservation, sample processing, intermediate formulations, and operation of supporting cell culture equipment.

+ Performs colony forming units assay procedures (CFUs), performs cell counts (using various methods), sets up samples for sterility testing, performs flowcytometry assays for viability and cell identification.

+ Cryopreserves, stores, and distributes products per BPRs/SOPs.

+ Supports environmental monitoring processes defined by the facility.

+ Understands and documents detailed manufacturing steps per BPR and recognizes when deviations or incidents are to be documented.

+ Documentation of each task, understanding verifier versus operator functions, following cleaning procedures, and ensuring aseptic processing techniques.

+ Have experience in writing and/or revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Production Records (BPRs), and other Quality/Compliance related documents

+ Review completed batch records daily for GMP compliance and completeness.

+ Assist with the weekly maintenance/cleaning of equipment and cleanroom to support GMP production.

+ Assist Subject Matter Expert (SME) with providing training for new and existing employees.

+ Supports and participates in research and investigational studies.

+ Assist with the ordering, stocking, release of supplies/materials to meet changes in production demands

+ Provides feedback and support in drafting and implementing documents and procedures for department development/process improvement.

+ Works collaboratively with internal and external cross-functional teams

+ Participates in department meetings and educational programs.

+ Adheres to good manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines.

+ Lead trainer to new personnel on all cell therapy operations


**Requirements:**


+ Degree in Biology or related Life Science field

+ Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with cell culture and/or Bioreactors

+ Must have industry hands-on experience with Adherent cell culture and media supplementation.

+ Aseptic technique, cleanroom gowning, and extensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

+ Ability to perform cell counts using Hemocytometer
