Job Title: Sr. Customer Demand Planner Role/ Supply Chain


Location: Shelton, CT.


Temp to Full Time option 3-6 months (possible extension or temp to perm)


Work 2 days in office.8-5 approx. and then 3 days Remote.

Job Description


Create and/or maintain forecasting models for each item and for every customer Assigned to achieve established forecast accuracy goals


Leading the forecast collaboration process with Customer and Channel Trade teams to provide a forecast for lower-level forecast alignment


Reviewing system generated statistical forecast for account level SKU inconsistencies and adjusting across the planning horizon by utilizing customer prior shipments, POS data, knowledge of business unit trends, and upcoming promotions to guide decision making


Update forecasts to assist in the conversion (run out) from one item to another


Ensuring that all forecasts are appropriately added to the system, including promotions, events, POGs, discontinued and new products


Problem solving the highest causes of error by researching error, determining root cause, and driving for improvement


Supporting growth and innovation as a thought leader on developing, monitoring and changing of the demand plan


Prepare and present the Customer demand plan and its assumptions, drivers and risks during the S&OP Demand Review meeting


Operating as a change agent working collaboratively with the supply chain teams/ sales on priority initiatives that optimize service, inventory, and cost for the total value chain


Identifies opportunities for improvement, makes constructive suggestions for change and drive for results


The right candidate will need to build and manage relationships with sales, Marketing, customers planning and supply chain


Process large amounts of data and deliver a concise recommendation. Communicate at various organizational levels and back-up thoughts with facts


Qualifications


A minimum of 3 years of Demand Planning, CPFR, Forecasting, or Supply Planning is required


A Bachelors Degree is required


Proficient in understanding of fundamental business management and supply chain principles and concepts


Forecasting experience with the ability to implement and execute forecasts and sales is a must


Strong analytical skills with ability to work in dynamic environment


Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize


Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel


Strong written and verbal communication skills


Must be a team player


Experience across multiple aspects of the supply chain with previous roles in inventory management, manufacturing planning and/or forecasting is a plus


Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling and demand systems (e.g JDA,, Blue Yonder) is a plus
