**Sr. Information Governance Manager**
**Business Unit: Enterprise Data & Analytics Center of Excellence**
**Direct Hire/Full Time/ Permanent**
**3 days on site and 2 days remote per week**
**Be within 50 miles of : Hillsboro, Oregon, Rocklin CA, or San Jose, CA.**
The Senior Manager serves as a leader of the Information Management discipline and supporting processes and platforms. The manager will be a subject matter expert in data and analytics, developing, implementing and overseeing an overall information governance program, inclusive of policies, standards, guidelines, processes, metrics, projects, initatives, procedures and platforms. This role requires consultative, persuasive communication, people leadership, a mastery of problem solving capabilities, and the desire to be an integral part of a dynamic organization that is influencing change across the company.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
Lead a team of high-performing and engaged employees through effective people leadership practices, including regular communication of performance expectations and feedback to employees to maintain high team performance; provide coaching and corrective action as required; actively support employee professional growth and development
Establish and maintain an information governance program that includes the definitions, policies, controls and data management processes of the Credit Unions business data across the enterprise
Plan, lead and drive the collection, organization, and utilization of Information Governance artifacts, such as Business Glossary, Data Lineage, Data Dictionary, etc.
Establish and enforce best practices for the use of data and development of business insights
Drive the implementation and support of the Informatica (Axon and Enterprise Data Catalog) platform infrastructure, licensing, and roadmap
Provide leadership for the configuration and management of the information governance platform to ensure content creation, management, approval and utilization meets quality expectations
Manage the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution for Data Quality to improve the completeness, consistency, and accuracy of data across key systems and data domains
Work with various teams across the enterprise to champion the development and deployment of a data quality management process that results in measurable improvements
Drive data quality management efforts, policy creation, and adoption planning and implementation with business partners; define methods for measuring and monitoring data quality and policy adherence
Develop and manage performance and quality metrics to ensure compliance with operations and data related policies, standards, roles, responsibilities, and adoption requirements
Deliver presentations to and support the adoption of information governance tools, policies and practices
Employ a user-first mindset in the establishment of all new data and analytics processes ensuring a comprehensive and best-in-class information governance program
Track and manage progress, including defining appropriate metrics and monitoring results
Provide team members and partners with thought leadership and coaching on data standards and practices
Drive policy creation and adoption planning and implementation with business partners; define methods for measuring and monitoring policy adherence
Manage relationships with members of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Center of Excellence and Community to understand organizational requirements, identify, define and gather approvals for information governance needs and to ensure data and analytics related requests and deliverables are completed and provided in alignment with the plan
Develop, support and enforce information governance policies, standards and processes and their adoption by the broader enterprise
Keep current on market trends in information governance and data management tools and best practices to uncover solutions to new and existing business challenges and opportunities
Support the data architecture recommendations by partnering with business and IT stakeholders to ensure proper design, utilization and reuse of data assets, while leading the enterprise data architect in the creation and adoption of related policies, standards, guidelines and designs
**Experience and Education Requirement:**
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree (preferably in Business Administration, Mathematics or Statistics)
Minimum 3 years experience leading people
Minimum 6 years experience as project/program manager, preferably in the financial services industry
Minimum 4 years' experience performing business analysis, documenting requirements, and implementing solutions on industry-standard data governance platforms; developing and refining data, business intelligence, and analytics policies, capabilities, and data quality best practices
Experience with Informatica Axon and EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog) or equivalent preferred
Domain expertise in information governance, data management, and data quality best practices; certification in related field is a plus
Excellent planning and organizing skills and the ability to self-manage involvement in multiple concurrent areas of responsibility; proven ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and achieve results through influence of others with and without direct authority
Ability to successfully drive projects, processes and change management concepts in a dynamic and complex operating environment
Demonstrated record of consulting and successfully working in complex, matrixed environments to build and maintain positive relationships and accomplish goals; ability to lead through influence
Ability to deliver effective stakeholder presentations to both peer and executive level audiences
Ability to make logical connections between business processes, data and analytics capabilities, and data standards
Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
Strong conceptual and process-thinking abilities; excellent attention to detail and ability to focus on the big-picture
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; especially Outlook and PowerPoint
**Certification/License:** Certification in Information Governance, Data Governance or Data Management preferred
