Description **_Maintenance Engineer - Bellevue, WA_**

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer for one of our top clients in Bellevue, WA

This will be a Union position. 2nd or 3rd shift, (2pm-10:30pm or 10pm-6:30am) either Tues. – Sat. or Sun. – Thurs.

**_Maintenance Engineer General Responsibilities_** **:**


+ Comply with all policies, procedures and practices.
+ Maintain a positive attitude and communicate professionally and openly with fellow employees and/or management.
+ Provide pertinent and timely information updates to management/ employees.
+ Be driven to succeed - providing a high level of customer service through a proactive approach to daily Plant issues.
+ Ensure productivity, encourage teamwork and build departmental cohesiveness.
+ Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement - utilizing your skills, observations and participation.
+ Lead by example – by maintaining an open, focused, positive and professional approach.
+ Facilitate teamwork within the department – this can be accomplished through information sharing, and offering assistance first and advice when asked.
+ Be a role model – exemplify safe behavior and practices.
+ Assist with the improvement of the Preventative Maintenance program – offering personal expertise which may then be used to create, improve and complete work orders.
+ Take a proactive approach in identifying housekeeping, safety and general maintenance issues.
+ Maintain your areas of work – to be kept in a condition that is clean, safe, & professional. These areas must conform to the principles of the 6S Program.
+ Make efficient use of parts – utilizing PMC. (Requesting, inventory control, critical spare identification, etc.)
+ Monitor the day to day operations in order to prioritize and complete duties. Ensures timely and accurate completion of tasks.
+ Utilize Log Sheets and Shift Reports as an effective means of communication and documentation.
+ Recognize the urgency in downtime situations and deal with the problem in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Complete and submit maintenance documentation as required.
+ Assist with the creation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for departmental equipment and tasks.
+ Cooperate with inspectors, contractors, suppliers and vendors as requested - ensuring that the best interests of Milk Plant are adequately represented. Demonstrating a professional attitude in these situations is the expectation.
+ Monitor shop tools - Report missing items and/or repairs that may be required.
+ Be on shift and on time - respond to trouble calls, complete PM’s and perform all other duties as assigned by Management and Shift Leads.

**Required Skills and Competencies:**


+ Millwright, Electrician or Machinist Certificate or equivalent.
+ Minimum Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate or the ability to obtain one according to the guidelines in the Union contract.
+ Solid verbal and written communication skills.
+ Effective communication skills when working with management, co-workers and customers – must be honest, open and able to conduct yourself in a professional manner.
+ Develop effective working relationships - Motivate others, and lead by example.
+ Receptive to change – can adapt to changing circumstances. Make suggestions for improvements.
+ Proactive in ensuring that job knowledge is current.
+ Respect diversity - treat others with respect.
