Client, one of the leading experts in medical imaging worldwide, is currently hiring a Sr. Manager in Software Engineering. This position is a Direct Hire role.


The Manager, Software Engineering will lead the software development teams for embedded systems development and maintenance of next generation Injection Solutions platforms. The selected candidate will be responsible for building and leading a team of architects and engineers for designing, developing, implementing, integrating, testing, qualifying, and maintaining the embedded software. The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader to the team, focusing on fostering career development and professional growth. We are seeking a multi-dimensional thinker who can leverage past full-stack learnings.


Position Responsibilities:

Act as a product development/sustainment project core team member: 1)Leading development activities of team of Software Engineers- including, as-needed, participating in advanced design, coding and modification of test software. This individual is accountable for teams full software life cycle engineering, and post development activities, and will need to be a hands-on leader, 2)Leading and directing design, coding, modifications and testing of software used in medical devices, 3)Managing design, coding and validation of embedded software for medical devices.

Participate in upfront design and specification.

Ensures that all product development/sustainment software activities conform to the requirements of applicable Software Design Control procedures.

Provide both technical leadership and functional management for the software development and architecture teams in the US and France.

Define solution roadmap and guiding to execute the projects, programs, and objectives of the organization, assuring schedule and budget compliance.

Maintains product technical stewardship throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsible for ensuring that all product development conforms to the requirements of Design Control procedures.

Manages product quality and product operating performance to achieve targets.

Maintains product cybersecurity compliance.


Position Requirements:

BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, Advanced engineering degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in product development of software, including elements of architecture, design, implementation, and test.

3+ years of experience leading product development teams (project management, team leadership, or functional management).


Strong background in:

Product Development, from concept to production.

Embedded software development.

C/C++ programming on microcontrollers and microprocessors [bare-metal, OS, RTOS].

Analyzing and debugging system performance issues.

Hardware board bring-up experience.

Experience supporting frequent incremental code testing and deployment.

DOORS or JAMA (requirements, decomposition, traceability).

Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodology.

MS Azure.


Huge pluses:

Understanding of real-time systems and constraints.

Multicore / Multithreaded driver and application development.

Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
