Our client in Kenosha, WI, a manufacturer of a wide variety of tools & related consumer products, is currently seeking a full-time, direct hire Sr Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. **General Function:**

The Sr Manufacturing Engineer will provide manufacturing support through various manufacturing engineering disciplines to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with proper processes, methods, and routings. This person will also design and implement new or revised methods of manufacturing to reduce costs of operation, and will prepare cost estimates and routings for new processes and products.

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Analyze and specify new processes and equipment necessary to accommodate plant manufacture of all new and existing products.
+ Ensure the continued effectiveness of existing machine assets through equipment/process maintenance and replacement suggestions.
+ Provide financial justification and timelines for implementation of new projects.
+ Validate process improvements through trials, analyze using measurement and statistical methods.
+ Hands-on support as needed for development/troubleshooting including machining trials and tool design at manufacturing locations.
+ Plan and organize projects to see that they are completed as scheduled.
+ Contribute to personnel development
+ Provide personnel training in areas such as machine operation, maintenance, and safety practices.
+ Travel to manufacturing locations and vendor sites to observe equipment or processes
+ ***** **This position will require** **up to** **50-75% annual travel** . Travel will be almost exclusively domestic, to sites in Milwaukee, Tennessee, and Alabama, but may require an occasional international trip. Duration is typically a few days during a single week, but may rarely require a two-week stay depending on the size & scope of the project.*****
**Required Experience, Education, & Attributes:**

+ **Bachelor’s degree** in **Manufacturing Engineering** or **Industrial Engineering**
+ A **minimum** of **2-4 years** professional experience in a **metal machining** / **tooling** / **fixturing** **manufacturing environment**
+ Candidates **Must be willing to travel up to 50-75% annually, as required.**
+ **CNC programming** experience
+ Exp. with cutting tool selection
+ **CAD** experience; **Catia** or SolidWorks preferred (client uses Catia CAD software)
+ Proficient with computer applications such as the Microsoft Office suite
+ Proficiency with **verbal and written technical communications** is **mandatory** . Strong **interpersonal leadership skills** are required in this role.
+ Ability to separate needed facts from large amounts of data and opinions and arrive at a logical solution/option.
