Position Description

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for engineering projects in GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing and development facilities. Projects include multiple small (<$1M), large capital, and expense projects. Projects may include manufacturing facility expansions and improvements, equipment replacements, clean utilities, laboratories, warehouse, and administrative spaces.

The Sr. Project Manager supports capital projects to establish new capabilities or to modify / improve existing capabilities. Applicant must be familiar with project delivery methodologies though the project lifecycle: charter, concept design, basic design, detail design, construction, and qualification.

The Sr. Project Manager supports development of capital plans and improvements; engineering specifications and standards; and improvement of project delivery processes. In addition, provides business office support for the engineering department. This includes resource management, metrics, monthly reporting, cost tracking/reporting.

The Sr Project Manager collaborates and coordinates with other functions such as Program Management, A&E service providers, Engineering, Validation, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Process Development, and Quality Assurance. Represents projects to the user team, clients, and stakeholders.

Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements. (For example: OSHA, FDA, EMEA, EH&S, etc.)

**Minimum Requirements**

+ B.S. in Engineering


+ A minimum of 8 years of engineering and project management experience

+ A minimum of 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in engineering or project management

+ Strong knowledge of cGMP manufacturing processes and related codes and regulations

+ Comprehensive biopharma processes and/or utilities unit operation expertise.

+ In-depth knowledge of validation practices and associated regulatory expectations.

**Additional Preferred Qualifications:**

+ A track record of delivering quality projects on-time and budget

+ Solid experience developing and using project management and control tools (e.g., chartering, project planning, schedule, estimating, cost, risk management).

+ Acumen and experience in supporting functional teams to develop business cases.

+ Strong understanding of project delivery methods and processes during each project phase (initiation, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and start-up), lean construction, contracts, stakeholder management, communication, team building, etc.

+ Excellent communication skills across a wide range of audiences

+ Experience with biologic manufacturing processes

+ Pharmaceutical facilities design experience in an engineering consulting firm

+ Design and construction of cGMP systems

+ Demonstrated experience leading and managing engineering projects. Application of project management processes and methodologies.

+ Project Management Professional certification is desirable
